What was the purpose of quickly putting your fist between your feet in setting some separation? Does this vary for different distance shots?
That was just to show how narrow the stance should be for short chip shots. A very narrow stance helps you stay anchored and stable through the shot, which is key to eliminating misses. For longer shots, though, the stance does get wider—the size of your swing and the width of your stance are closely linked. Hope this helps!

How do you handle the very short chips on to a downhill green where the ball can just roll away. The touch and speed is hyper critical.
Hi John, the ball will come out lower and roll more on a downhill lie. So, aim to land it shorter and if you can, try a slower swing—it makes the ball land softer and run away from you less. It’s a tricky shot, so the more you practice it, the more comfortable you’ll feel using it on the course. I hope this helps! Thanks!!

Aimee, I'm familiar with the bounce of my 56-degree sand wedge. I also will use my 50-degree gap wedge around the green if I don't need to get the ball elevated. Should I pay attention to the bounce of this club as well?
It definitely helps to understand the bounce on your gap wedge as well. Especially on shots into the grain, or from soft, wet, or muddy ground, knowing how to use the bounce can really reduce mistakes. I hope this helps! Thanks~
Recently, Ive had a really bad issue with a dead shank, but I can't seem to understand why...am I too much inside?
Hi Walter, shanks can feel really tricky, but the cause is often simpler than it seems. They usually happen when the body and hands move together in the downswing. To fix this, you want one to lead and the other to follow. I recommend leading with your body and letting your arms follow, but another option is to keep the body more quiet and let the arms control the strike. I hope this helps! Thanks :)
