A must play!
Greens are large, fun and quick!
If you’re visiting the Omaha area it’s the best of the city courses which all are similar and offering good value. Omaha takes pride with its jewel Johnny Goodman which is now in its, 2026 season, first full year with a new dual irrigation system that waters extremely well the fairways and rough.
Players play it often and the new first tee makes the rounds opening hole more challenging from the tips and sets the tone for this championship track.
White tees play a strong ~6,500, and the newly updated 124 slope accurately represents its difficulty. Back tees play ~7,200 so good luck with that if you dare!
Johnny recently lost over 150 Ash trees from disease yet the courses overall character and charm amazingly remained unchanged!
Keep working to improve the cart paths, trimmings the trees canopy upward and upgrading the senior tee boxes and players will begin to refer to Johnny Goodman as the OMCC “Omaha Midtown Country Club”.
I love and highly recommend OMCC!

Johnny Goodman June 2026
Had an excellent experience at JG. The course was in really good condition at the time. We had some recent rains so I am sure that helps.
I have played this course a few times and this was the best experience so far.
I really can’t think of any major improvements for this city owned course. Probably could use a couple of stops for bathrooms along the way. More ball washers would also be of value.
Good course; Glad its back
Played as a family foursome. The course was in great shape for it being early May and the elements that Nebraska receives until then. Greens were nice. Fairway and all else was well kept. Had a top ten day so cannot complain about much or the crowds playing there.
Solid muni
We had a great time playing here! It was a challenging course that wasn’t overly difficult. My only complaints were the cart paths and the pace of play. The paths were awful but the pace of play was somewhat understandable given we played on a Saturday afternoon.
beautiful trees
course is in great shape greens superb the range wasn't open yet but it will open soon
Nobody there?
Course was closed due to the storm. Golfnow didn't register that it was closed. I tried calling multiple times to get the booking fee reimbursed, but nobody answered.
Still no refund, played thous course before though and it was great. I'd still expect it to be great
Slow
Although a public course, there needs to be someone riding around in a cart encouraging a reasonable pace of play. Great course, but there needs to be some monitoring. There was a foursome in front of us that was playing two balls! The group in front of them was a hole or two ahead.
Love this course
Challenging without being impossible. Greens, tee boxes, and fairways in great shape.
Enjoyable test
Wonderful layout…great condition for a municipal course! Once they get the car paths fixed you can give six stars!
Staff...
The head pro and his staff are insanely rude in the oro shop. They must not understand how the coursecis funded by taxpayers.
