Roses Run Country Club
About
Roses Run Country Club is touted as being northeast Ohio's toughest public golf course. The course has an interesting mix of holes from lengthy par 4s to tough par 3s and reachable par 5s. The front nine is a traditional links layout while the back nine hugs the Cuyahoga River with winding fairways that melt into fast, sloping greens. The layout incorporates a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also water hazards and strategically placed bunkers coming into play throughout. Roses Run Country Club will require some creative shot-making and the use of every club in your bag. It's a formidable layout that will test even the most skilled players. There is a driving range and practice putting green you can use for warming up, which might be a good idea before taking on this tough course.

Struggling
I have played Rose run multiple times. Usually well kept. This last round was different. Fairways were not mowed and rough was super long. It was cartpath only. Disappointed in the condition of the course. Greens were good and played fast. Spoke with one of the maintenance man, and they said their mower was down. He to play there again. Many courses nearby that are better kept.
Okay Round
Very nice staff, course conditions very good. Just not a fan of the layout and pace of.play was extremely slow. Not.much they can do about the pace though. Is what it is.
Roses Run- 7 out of 10
Overall Roses Run is a fun track to play. For your average golfer it may be a bit too difficult. I enjoy the array of different shots and shot shapes I get to utilize when playing here. The greens are medium speed and disease free. The rough was lush and long. This made the experience a little less enjoyable for myself considering it’s a public course. The fairway, greens and tee mowers were not cutting evenly which was a bit annoying to look at all day. The clubhouse was friendly and snack bar girl was very nice. Pace of play was great and the golf now price was worth the money. I would not pay full price to play here but if you can find a deal, and you are looking for a challenge, head over to Roses Run.
Okay
Course in very nice shape. Staff very friendly. Not a big fan of course layout but that is my personal preference. Slow play
Long wait
It took 3 hours to play 9 holes. Starter even said it’s like this all the time. After the round we stayed and got good. It took over 45 minutes to get a burger and a wrap. The course was in fine condition, just the waiting with multiple groups on each hole was unbearable. I would play the course again only if it wasn’t so busy
Just as good as the last time I played
Coarse was in excellent conditions, the roughs were fair (easy to find balls off the fairway), greens were fast, tee boxes and fairways in good shape = All good = happy golfing
Well…
This is not my 1st or 10th time playing this course. This round was so off the normalcy. 5 1/2 hrs to golf a round. No rangers. (2) groups 2 guys each in front of us and were the slowest people I have ever seen.
There was clumps of dying cut grass all over the place as well. I was shocked to see the standards of this course slipping. I hope they can pull it together.
Rough was 6” long and untouched. The ground was soaking wet after 2 days of dryness there was standing water everywhere.
