Twelve Stones Golf Club
About
Twelve Stones Golf Club (formerly known as Twelve Stones Crossing) sprawls across rolling hills, making the golf course known for its dramatic elevation changes. An even lie will be hard to find and golfers will also have a few blind shots in store for them. The undulating terrain makes for some difficult holes but it serves another, more player-friendly purpose of providing scenic respite with idyllic views of the surrounding countryside. The greens are lightning fast, but they roll true and there is rough bordering the well-manicured fairways. There are also several bunkers strategically placed throughout. It is a golf course that is challenging but still fun to play, a statement that holds true for a wide range of skill levels. Given the versatile design and affordable rates, Twelve Stones Golf Club is a popular venue for tournaments and outings.

Great views, just need a professional greens keeper. Photo submitted by HgaGolf on 10/06/2013
Not what it used to be
I’ve played rounds here since 2018. Currently the course is in the worst condition I’ve ever seen it. It might be a bigger indication of public courses in the area that are all getting overplayed. But the greens had bare spots and were bouncing putts all over the place. Tee boxes were hard. Many of the fairways were patchy with bare spots. I’ll be looking to play anywhere else until I hear some better news about the conditions of the course here
Horrible experience
Was looking forward to a great experience at 12 Stones. We showed up on a Thursday morning and the driving range was closed for repairs. OK no worries. The fairways and greens were the worst I've seen in the Nashville area. After a 3 hour front nine pace our twosome asked the young man in the proshop for a 9 hole rain check so we could come back when the conditions had improved. He told us that only the GM can approve that request. Not very good customer service. We left very frustrated and unhappy.
Spend your money elsewhere.
Nice setting but course conditions are atrocious
The course settings are wonderful and the place has potential. Unfortunately, the fairways barely have grass and many greens are badly damaged. The clubhouse is nice and carts are fairly new, on the positive side. Unfortunately as well, the club does not allow walking...
Terrible conditions
Course is in awful shape compared to others in the area. Greens are chewed up and fairways are bare. Prices should definitely be reduced while the course is in this kind of shape. Layout is interesting enough but there are a few ridiculous holes due to elevation changes.
12 Stones from the view of a 6-month player.
12 Stones is a beautiful course. Fairways were green and the greens were greener. The course is layout is nice following the rolling hills of Goodlettsville. Teeing off downhill or approaching uphill, the challenges were there. Some fairways wider than others, this course allows you to be creative in your shots. Staff were nice and very helpful. Downsides for me was the excessive dew on the greens and having to pay a rider fee for a non-player to tag along (but that seems par for the course these days). Otherwise I enjoyed playing at 12 Stones and may come back again.
Must Play
This course offers a great layout, that is challenging, yet rewards good shots. The staff were very friendly and the amenities/Sand Trap are a great complement to the course and it’s enjoyability.
Terrible conditions
Nice staff but awful conditions on fairways and greens. Not at all worth the money.
Disappointing to say the least
I’ve been playing here since I started, would’ve called it my home course. Used to be in good shape in the early 2020’s the perfect place to go play a twilight round when you get off work. Good fairways and solid greens. Then it was $47 to play there. Now for a twilight tee time it’s $68 dollars to play somewhere on par with Pebble Brook, there’s just simply not a fairway. There’s craters in the greens and it’s just disappointing to see a place where I used to love to play turn into a place where when you step on the tee box and look at the course you feel like you just got robbed.
Fun winter conditions
Great course to play can’t wait until spring early summer when in better conditions
Fairways were not in good shape and the pace of play was bad
Course is great shape
The staff is friendly and welcoming. The new superintendent has done an amazing job on the greens. For the price, the best course in the area.
12 Stones and 4.5 stars
This course has never been my go to course. The greens are in fantastic shape and rolling like glass! New Management has the course looking fantastic. Nothing like before! Great job 12 stones. We will be back.
