Country Hills Golf Club
About
Located just 20 minutes north of Nashville, Country Hills Golf Club in Hendersonville is not only conveniently situated, it also offers a challenging round for golfers of all skill levels. The narrow fairways demand accuracy, especially on the front nine's tricky par 4s. The holes on the back nine are somewhat more open but those benefits are offset by a variety of well-placed hazards and hillier terrain that make it the more challenging of the two nines. Playing with someone who is familiar with the course or at least thoroughly studying the scorecard beforehand would be helpful. Golfers should brace themselves for the especially treacherous second and 15th holes. To prepare for this formidable test, golfers can warm-up on the large driving range and putting green.

Course is great, staff not so much...
This was my second time playing at Country Hills. Both times that I have been, one of the guys working the pro shop was very rude and acted almost as if we were a burden for booking a tee time and coming to play. We had two groups of four and in total spent over $500 between tee times, club rentals, golf balls, and concessions. You would think that for spending that much money at a place they would treat you with a minimum amount of politeness. The woman working the concessions was great, and the younger guy in the afternoon was nice as well, it was the middle-aged guy in the morning that seemed to hate his job. Unfortunately, his behavior will probably turn a lot of new players away from the game of golf.
The course was in great shape, and the players all kept a good pace of play. There were a few holes and areas that were under construction, but other than that it was a nice course.
They have a great rental club selection for those who need to rent clubs, and they have plenty of gear to stock up on in the pro shop.
Overall, really good golf experience!
The course’s fairways and greens were in pretty good shape. However, a handful of the tee boxes were in rough shape though it appeared a number of them were undergoing immediately adjacent regrowth efforts before the tee boxes could be moved.
All in all, it was a really good, enjoyable golf outing and I would not hesitate to return to play another round.
I haven't played course in a while and it is still very challenging. They are making some upgrades to course which is fine as it was reflected in the price paid. I look forward to going back out before end of summer to see the results of their work.
SLOW and torn w
Fairways were torn up for unnecessary aeration and very barren which was extremely hard to understand given the amount of rain we have been experiencing. The ground ahead of us was a 4some with 3 players never having played. I encourage and applaud new players but they need to be shown aspects such as etiquette and pace of play.
Butchered fairways and slooow play
While I agree that beginner golfers have a full right to play and I encourage as well as welcome them, someone should be with the newbies to teach them etiquette and pace of play. Not to mention that each player should have their own set of clubs and not share a bag that you must walk back and forth to in order to share. It took us just under 3 hours to play the front 9$.
The fairways, should you actually hit your tee shot into, were torn up so bad from aerating that you couldn’t hardly find grass to hit from.
Very frustrating
First time last time
Super nice people but the course was horrible shape. Virtually no fairways
Good Time’s!
We had a fabulous time playing with the family on Easter Sunday. Josh was awesome. Can’t wait to go back. The lady in the snack bar was a delight.
Fun but challenging
Love playing Country Hills but it is a very tough course. Lots of elevation change and water, some tight fairways.
Golf day
Was on vacation, I usually try to get in 2 or3 rounds. Course was only about 20 minutes away, ended up playing with two very nice gentlemen, close in age so conversation through out round was enjoyable and they knew the course very well. The only change I would make would be to add a few different type of holes. Over all a very good experience.
Great course, nice greens and tee boxes!
Can’t find a better course for the money! Nice staff, with a driving range. Greens were very nice. Definitely a more intermediate/ advanced course. But you won’t find a better one for the money! Highly recommend and will be back!
Course review
I enjoyed my round, played with two very nice
Gentleman, Stanley and Denny. The were both
Very familiar with the course, and gave me some
Some good advice on certain hole layouts to
Approach and try to leave my tee shots for best
results. The only issue was a group of 6 golfers were playing together and slowing up play. Stanley call the pro shop and immediately someone was out to correct the situation. Overall was a wonderful day, I would return. Thanks
Nice low key round
Decent course. Was green due to recent rains, tee boxes a little overgrown. Seems like they had some mower issues. Greens were pretty slow but somewhat smooth.
