Fox Run Golf Course

I have played here multiple times and have enjoyed it each time! The course isn't very difficult but I count that as a plus. If it has been raining be prepared to slosh through some water! Great value if you ask me!

I've played this course many times since it's so close to my home.

As the spring progressed, the course condition has become worse. In early spring, I was impressed with how the greens looked- but now: The greens are close to unplayable. #1 green had grooves left by equipment which made it impossible to keep a put on line. Some of the greens are like rocks- so hard that even a well struck ball will not hold. The grass on #11 is gone because that's a low, shaded spot. All of the greens were shaggy- not even well struck putts would hold line and get to the hole.

I've never seen these fairways in above average condition. They continue to have many bare spots and uneven patches. The only way to get a decent lie is to roll the ball to a good patch of grass :(.

I'll likely not be back at Fox Run until I see some reviews that indicate the course has improved. Today's value was one of the worst I've ever experienced- which is my loss because there's only one other course in close proximity.

The greens are in terrible shape considering this is April and there has been plenty of rain. Lot of dead spots and greens are so hard they won't hold a 100 yard approach. Whoever is in charge of greens doesn't know what they're doing. Add in the windy conditions and it was a miserable round of golf. Workers on the course have no idea of what etiquette is (jumping out in front of me and mowing the fairway while I waited to tee off). Staff inside was very nice and welcoming. It's a shame because I enjoyed this course last time I played here. Basic layout, wide open and very few hazards.

Fox Run is a very friendly, easy to access course. The layout is mostly flat but challenging, especially if there is wind. The greens are good and fairways are generally well kept. The layout does require some thinking on a few holes, where placing the ball in the correct place makes your approach shots easier. The staff is great, the club house down to earth, not upscale or swanky.
