VERY Disappointing
Wow! What happened? Took a Golf Buddy to Skippack for his very first time; telling him how nice they keep the course. Huge disappointment!
Tee boxes are horrendous. On several of them you needed a hammer to put in your tee or hunt for an existing hole to re-use. The short par-3 boxes were so chewed up; there was a ton of sandy soil and a few clumps of grass.
The greens did NOT roll true. Tons of unfixed ball marks.
Next to the practice green, directly behind the Starter's Shack, there is a "water station cage" that did not even have a cooler in it. The last time I was here, the cooler was there but totally EMPTY. I asked if they could fill it but after playing the front nine, it was STILL empty. There are NO water stations out on the course.
I will say that the 4 employees that I did interact with were all extremely personable. Also, it looks like they have freshened up the various Flower Beds throughout the course.
Love the layout
Well taken care of, everyone is kind and professional. Only issue is tee times should be another 2 min spread out.
Excellent rates for a fun quirky course!
Me and a partner played earlier today at Skippack looking for a quick fun 9 holes. The great part was they offered a rate just to play the front nine at 34 dollars a person! The value for this course was fantastic, while it could have done with slightly quicker putting surfaces, the undulations and green configurations made it just as challenging as greens that may run at a 10-11 on the stimp meter. The grass was plush and the fairways were easily define-able and well maintained. While it was about 100 degrees out, we played the front in around an hour and a half which was fantastic! The staff where friendly and easy to communicate with, and the range and putting areas where just what you need. I feel like I used my whole bag out there, having to shape shots all different ways and get out of my comfort zone in an enjoyable way. I thoroughly enjoyed Skippack will certainly be back soon!
Highly recommend
I enjoy the course and would recommend playing it...great staff and warm up range and putting green
Extremely slow pace of play
Skippack needs a course ranger setting pace of play.
The front nine pace was average for a saturday.
2 hours and 10 minutes to the turn is about average.
The pace of play turned terrible on the back nine. The next 5 holes took us over 2 hours to play.
It took us 2 hours and 20 minutes to finish the next 5 holes.
We quit after finishing the 14th hole.
When we headed to the clubhouse we saw that hole 18 was clear and the group on 17 was still in the 17th fairway.
How does that happen?
We finished 18 and the group on 17 was just getting to the green on 17.
Good time
Enjoyed my round. There was a fivesome in front of me that never let me play thru even though I was playing solo. It was a result of two groups merging and no ranger was on the course all day to address it
Skippack crowed
It was 1st time I played it in like 9 years since my dad passed :(. MY dad and I played it a few times a month for like 15 years straight aways during the week in afternoon.Sadly just like all the other public courses , it gets so crowded ! Pace was pretty decent considering all the golfers out .
Good vay
Course is in good shape. Pace of play was decent. The only issue that I had was course could be better marked. The greens were very fast and it was hard to hold a shot. Numerous chips ran off the green.
Great value
Course is well maintained. The track is comfortable and beginner friendly.
Great Early March Outing
After a long long winter finally had first warm day since last October. Considering circumstances course was in very good shape. Very crowded on a Monday. Pace was a little slow but not too bad.
First time out 2026
Course was a bit mushy which was expected, but other than that course was in great shape for being first week of March after a lot of snow and rain. As always staff was excellent.
Nice track!
Very well taken care of for a public course. Most tee boxes and greens in great shape. Back 9 gets tighter and offers a great challenge. Overall really enjoyed playing Skippack, and will return in the future.
