Nice Course
Fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Challenging greens. you will need to be below the hole to score well.
Nice outing
Course was under construction for quite a few holes. Otherwise I enjoyed my round and met other people who I had the opportunity to play with.
Under repair
The course itself was in above average shape - however it was difficult to know the layout of the holes - the score card did not have any pictures and other than a sign stating the hole number there was nothing else. Hole number 17 is marked on the score card as 149 yards - however when using a range finder it was actually playing 180 yards - and it appeared to be using it’s normal tee box.
The course is in the process of building a new club house, which looks like it’s going to be impressive - and I’ve heard that greens fees will be $90 next year - in my opinion that is was over priced - my tee time was a hot deal - so only $120 for 2 golfers - was worth that - but even at current $75 a person is over priced.
Under construction
They’re doing a lot of work to the course and building a new clubhouse
They changed everything around and it’s going to be awesome when it’s done but a little messy now
Great course for the money
Other than construction of new clubhouse, this is a great course and very challenging. It is in great shap for end of summer.
Great public course
Like the golf course. Some of the greens are rather unfair though. Almost miniature golf like. Cart paths bumpy and lots of construction in the midst right now.
Best muni in philly area
Fantastic public course. Excellent greens, fairway, and tee box conditions. Great Ross design that has typical Ross sloping greens making them very challenging. Only thing keeping this track from being 5 stars and costing $90 is that it isn't a particularly scenic course due to suburban location. Could easily rival several private clubs in suburbs though. Must play!
Sinister Greens and Pin Placements.
This is a Donald Ross gem. It’s without question, in the top 3 of public courses in the Philadelphia area. The conditions are impeccable, considering the amount of play this course gets. I played on a very windy day and most of the pin placements were diabolical. This course had arguably the firmest greens I’ve played, public or private. All of these coupled for a long day and long waits on the tee box. It was close to a 5 hour round.
A Day On the Links
A rather challenging course for seniors (70 and older). They can use another set of tees. The first 2 holes are "killers", and the par threes are long. Whatever happened to the short par 3?
However, the course was in very good condition. Hard to believe the total yardage, from the white tees is only 5100 yards, seems much longer.
Good Day
I experience a good round of golf yesterday. Played with a nice group of people. Course conditions were good.
Greens
The greens were very challenging, they kept you on your toes
Great Course
An old school Donald Ross course. Greens are very challenging. They've rerouted the course due to the new clubhouse construction. Definitely a must play.
Under construction
Course is undergoing major renovations. The holes are renumbered and very confusing layout. A few of the greens are so severely sloped that I considered them to be totally unfair and ridiculous. Greens and fairway grass in good shape.
