California Golf Course

Love this course but pace of play has been slow. Seems to be very crowded

California is a better than average muni. It’s in good shape (just aerated, but has to happen) and a mix of hole types. Fairly open overall, a bit tighter on back nine

I really like the layout at California, but I really wish they would have warned that they were in the midst of aerating a large portion of the course, including all along the edges of many fairways, and all the fringe area of many greens. This led to a lot walking through muddy clods of dirt just to get to the ball or green, made several holes just about unplayable and was just not fun to play.

Really enjoyed California Golf Course. The course was in good shape and was a fun layout that gives you plenty of opportunities to score, but you still have to hit good shots. I shot an 89 from the whites and felt like the course played fair throughout the round. Greens were challenging and definitely made you work around the hole. Pace was solid at just over 4 hours, and overall it was an enjoyable round. Definitely a course I’d play again.

Seems like they have strength the course since Ladt year.

California is a great course conveniently located relative to downtown Cincinnati, east and west of the city and northern KY. The front nine has interesting but not very difficult holes. The back nine, however, is very challenging and course management is key. The staff is very pleasant and the clubhouse was recently remodeled. Yesterday, the pace of play was painfully slow. The course needs to have a ranger to keep the groups moving.

Great day. Play was a bit slower but still okay. The course was in great condition.

Our foursome had a great experience and will definitely be back. We had an early tee time and place of play was no issue at all. Some of the tee boxes are pretty rough but otherwise, the greens and fairways are in really good shape. I'd absolutely recommend this course.

My tee time was 4:36, I did make the turn until 7pm. Waiting on the tee box on every hole for 10 minutes or more. I called the club house and they came out drove past the groups taking forever and came back making excuses for them, then saying it is just busy. The reality is the amount of people on the course should have no bearing on pace of play unless the course is setting tee times too close together. I left after the first 9, didn't bother even asking for a rain check because they would just make excuses.

This course is kept in pristine condition. It's a challenging course due to being very narrow. You have to position play your shots.

Great Day! Weather was perfect the course was immaculate. One of the best rounds ever f golf I’ve played.

The starter let a foursome cut us off at the tenth tee, which slowed us down and resulted in a 5.5 hour round that we couldn’t even finish. Too crowded with poor players.

I enjoy playing California, but it was 3 hours to play the front 9. Some groups in front of us quite after 9, so we played the back 9 in about 75 minutes.

If it weren't for the four foursomes of ladies in front of us, we would've played much faster. It seemed like it was their gossip time. Fortunatelythey only played 9 holes. So on the back nine we flew through the course ending up playing injust a little over four hours, lol
