Nice course
The course seems easy and I loved the layout. Unfortunately we had a group in front of us playing from the tips and couldn’t make it to the 150 yard mark without 3 swings. I couldn’t find my rhythm due to the pace. Eventually someone called the Marshal and on the turn got rid of them. I’ll be playing this again.
GolfNow not welcome
So made the reservation on GolfNow- show up with 3 friends and they say the rate went up since booking and they would not honor the booking. Charged more for 9 holes than I booked for 18. Rude and customer service didn’t exist. Play anywhere else
Out of Town great course choise
Worked in Portland for the week and found this course by chance. Great location and greens and the area was very nice. The staff was amazing. Had to rent clubs for the first time and they were pretty nice as well. Please check the bag if you rent and review the inventory list on the bag set. This was the first time I had ever rented, and they were short one club that I did not notice till I returned them. Still not sure what that will look like. My fault for not checking though.
Solid muni
Seems like the course maintenance is getting better. Played in late march and it was drier than expected. Greens were firm, fairways weren’t too bad, bunkers were mostly good.
The course layout is very nice and it has all the practice amenities you would want.
Great even in the rain
Really nice course if you can get it on the hot deals times. Otherwise in my view a bit pricey. Really friendly staff- went in the pouring rain and had great pace of play even saw a golf coyote! If you hit all your shots veering to the right like I do, bring some extra balls. Just bring some extra balls period. Water hazards sneak up on you but especially on the right. Had a great time though!
Pace of a Turtle
Slowest course in Oregon. Left the course after the 11th hole and nearly 4 hours! Ridiculous!
The only problem was!
The only thing that Infringed on our experience was the ground staff did not seem to respect our position in play. Specifically, one the mowers crossed paths with us frequently, and in my opinion, he came too close and was slow to shutdown to lower the noise and disrespected our playing.
Not Good
Grounds crew were rude, pin placements were all incorrect on the tee boxes(front/back/middle), played behind a 3some that were incredibly slow(finally played thru at turn), the fairways were overgrown with clover and weeds, the bunkers were poorly maintained, and very few water coolers actually had water in them . I really enjoy this course and hope they can get their greens crew figured out.
Slow play not fun….
Why are there course marshals if they never do their job? They never say anything about the frustration with slow play…They drive around but do nothing…Astonishing!!
Extremely slow—5 hours
5 Hours
Had a 4-some in front of our 3-some who waited for the man to tee off before the 3 ladies even went to their tee box. Mentioned it to marshal who talked to them but did not help. On 18 they waited until the group ahead of them was around the corner and out of sight before man teed off. None of them reached the first bunker, let alone the farthest bunker. A very painful experience.
Great Pro Shop
Love the pro shop and range but the course is terrible. Right from the start it didn’t look like they had mowed in over a week. Throughout the whole course the weeds and clover blossoms made it hard to find a golf ball in the middle of the fairway. It’s a shame, this course used to be much nicer. Seems like the city of Portland has given up on the property.
