Covington Country Club

This course has potential. Great layout in need of favorable weather conditions and some TLC. The greens were burnt out, many of the tee boxes had tiny hitting windows. Some tree trimming is necessary. I enjoy playing golf and new courses are a fun challenge. This course was no different. The staff is kind! Thank you for being fairly priced!

Home course, great layout, diverse holes, not a lot of water, and fast pace of play. Great sundown deals at 35$. The greens are poor though. Only soft drinks and candy and 1 value ball available. Decentl municipal course a bit overpriced at around 55$. Fun course though.

Greens are absolutely horrible. This could be a good course if it was taken care of, but it is sad. Clovers in the fairways, tee boxes and greens atrocious. Wish someone would take this course over and fix it. Not worth more than $20/rd. I couldn’t imagine not playing on a hot deal price.

I’ve played this course numerous times over the year, and it is improving. The greens are in much better shape and the grass was cut. There are still a few sandy spots on the greens and a few bogs where there should be grass, but overall, much improved from a year ago.

Don’t waste your money on this course unless you book the 12:00 special for about $25 or in the afternoon for $40. Fairways an are rock hard and greens are terrible. No pro shop, no food, and no cart girl. Better make sure they don’t have a wedding because then golfers become a nuisance. There are a lot of courses that are a better bang for your buck.

Course looks like it used to be nice. Proshop was a closet with a window unit. Loss of balls in fairway. Tee box’s were kinda bad.

most of the greens had mult bare spots on them, I am looking for a different course to play. I might check them out next yr when I come through here.

I’m sure this course at one time was in great condition. Originally from history, it was a nine hole golf course and then expanded to 18. The front nine you could tell it was very challenging at one time, but the grass in the fairways looked like somewhat a pasture, even though it was cut, and the greens were in bad shape with occasionally bare spots. The second nine was more wide open, and the fairways were in better condition and most of the greens were in better condition. Tee boxes were a little scarred up from play.

The only public course in the Mandeville area that could be soooo much better and actually use to be.!

I won’t play there anymore until they fix ALL the greens and put some TLC into the rest of the court!!!

Would never recommend. Horrible condition...greens almost unputtable. No amenities, drinks, etc. Don't know how it can stay open.
