Lush course
The fairways and greens were lush and well maintained.
Rangers need to do their jobs
Course is good. Does not require creativity but well maintained (except for a few there boxes that are just sand boxes). Rangers just riding around doing jack. Tee’ed off at 2:40 so that was bad enough but people taking their sweet old time, hitting 3 balls, 5 practice swings…I was done thru the front nine in exactly 3 hours so skipped the back 9 which I have never done. Waste of my time and money. This course needs to hire rangers and actually have them do their jobs.
Nice day for golf at Clearview
Very nice course. It is well kept, people are friendly and courteous. Didn’t use the amenities. So can’t say anything. Will come back as often as I can when I’m in town.
Great day
Course was in great shape. Rough was thick, but fair. Played in 4 hours, which is surprisingly fast. Couldn’t ask for a better day.
Was paired with 3 women who would NOT shut up while I was playing my shots. Zero etiquette on the greens. Frustrating day. Almost a 5 hour round.

There was no beverage cart on the course, along with no practice range. Chipping is not allowed by the one practice green.
For the money…let’s just say that you get what you pay for.
Conditions
Rough cut to playable level. WE do not like US Open rough.
Great location!
Nice to have close access to play a round in the busy northern Queens area. Friendly staff and nice amenities for a city run course. Will visit again whenever in the area.
Clearview golf course review
Good conditions nice club house nice layout. No range
Course has improved with conditions but pace of play still lags
Played this course about 5 years ago and I remember the conditions were pretty subpar and our round went over 5 and half hours. This time I was driving over the Throgs neck bridge and saw that the conditions actually look pretty good so I booked around for a couple days later. We had a 7am tee time and when we got to the first hole things looked good. Overall the conditions were a lot better this time than the last time I played here but still, even at 7am we since didn’t finish until about 12pm but that didn’t stop us from having a blast here.
Greens were poor
Love playing this course but for $187.00 I expect the greens to be perfect. It was extremely hard to putt because they were aerated. If that is they case they should charge less money and let you know when you make your reservation as I wouldn’t have played there.
Local Course Quality at a Premium Price
Compared to how poor this course used to be, it does look like they have invested a bit and are making an effort to improve. However, the overall conditions of the greens, fairways, and rough are still only at the level of a basic local golf course.
For local residents, it may not be a bad option compared to paying tolls and driving to other courses. However, the quality of the course is still far below what they charge for the green fee.
There are still many bare dirt areas throughout the fairways and rough, the greens are bumpy and slow, and the staff is not very friendly.
In my opinion, this is not a course worth playing more than once a year.
Greens.
Airated one month ago still very bumpy. My only BAD experience is with Golfpass. My account lately will NOT let me check out. 3X now. Fix that please.
