My favorite hole ! Photo submitted by Golfworld on 10/28/2019
Links a lot of fun.
Great course to play after British Open. Really nice links course.
Mill Pond
Course is very nice bur extremely slow play. Last time I played there it was a 5 hour round, and yesterday's was 5 hours and 15 minutes. Also, did not start the round until 30 minutes after scheduled tee time.
the pace of play was way too slow A round of golf should not take 5 and 1/2 hours
Mice
Always a good time here. Greens in good shape. Some difficult holes. Cart girl was around frequently
Poor pace ruined this course
Love the layout but unfortunately tee times are too close together. 8 minutes between groups just doesn’t work. Took 3hours to get thru the front 9. Got to hole 15 in hour and half after that. Then the cart went dead. Never had to make sure the cart was charged before I went out on hole 1, figured the guys running the course would do that.
Very slow play… and we started 20
Mins after our tee time. If this is usual, spread out the times!!
Greens are filled with ball marks — does anyone who plays here repair their marks?
Nice day
Mill Pond is a really nice links style course. Fairways are flanked by dunes with plenty of fescue. Don’t hit it in there you’re not likely to find errant shots. Even some wooded areas have the thick stuff under the trees. Greens are tricky. Plenty of really hard pine positions. They tend to be a little slow and somewhat bumpy, but playable. The course gets a lot of play so tees are showing some wear. I enjoy playing here because if you stay straight it’s scoresble.
Mill pond gets it.
The staff, course conditions and course layout are top notch. Friendly environment & great driving range. Maintenance staff always has course in great shape.
Still a great layout
This course is fairly well maintained and is a nice “links style” course. It is NOT a links course, but certainly styled similar to one. Greens were fairly good, fairways are “fine” (3.5 of 5) and tee boxes would be “ok” (3 of 5).
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The practice facility is a joke. Mats only and they are probably 20 years old. Completely warm out and the only place the ball will “stay is on the places so bare that only the rubber base remains. There are no tees for the mats and most locals seem to understand you must brig your own.
Terrible pace of play. Do not play here.
6.5 hour round. Started round 30 mins late due to back up. Waiting on every tee box. Do not play here. Better value elsewhere
Nice course, needs management
Really, a great course, usually kept in good condition as its hard to keep up with all the ball marks players with terrible etiquette do not repair. The golf course itself has 1 HUGE problem! If ypu do not tee off before 8 youre looking at a 6 hour unacceptable round!!
