Pine Ridge Golf Club

About
Pine Ridge Golf Club was carved from pine forests in central Long Island. Located in Coram, the course's player-friendly layout is a popular choice for all skill levels. The narrow, tree-lined fairways demand accuracy and the greens are fast and can be hard to read but it's not an overly punishing golf course for high handicappers. The risk-reward opportunities will test your course management and strategic thinking skills. If played smartly, you could find yourself with a birdie, particularly on the two driveable par 4s on the front nine. Several bunkers lurk throughout and water comes into play occasionally as well. You'll also face several sharp doglegs, both left and right. In addition to the golf course, Pine Ridge also offers a practice facility that includes a driving range, putting green, and a large grass teeing area.

Friendly staffs
We arrived at the golf course half earlier, the staff really friendly to let us start tee off, reasonable price and moderate pace to play.
Facilities
Please pay more attention to amenities and cart cleanliness
Cost was fine no carts no bench poor choice won’t play again
Not worth the price
If you pay $71 for a round and $15 more for a cart you would think the course would be in decent shape. This was far from the case. Greens were in horrible condition, fairways were terrible. This is the second time I played here and both times the course was in horrible condition. The ownership has no pride in the course they just collect money from players and don’t do anything to better the place. Pick another course or pay a little more for a better place cause this is not worth the money.
Tees and Greens are supposed to have grass
Where to begin..
Tee boxes hardpan with no level spots.
Greens roughly 50% grass 50% dirt with several holes having giant 6ft x 6ft squares of dirt.
Sand traps with rocks bigger than golf balls.
Clearly there is zero effort to maintain this course.
I've played rounds all over long island, the tri state area and New England this year and amidst the drought they manage to grow grass and maintain the facility.
No ranger. Not one greenskeeper or maintenance worker present. I don't think either is on the payroll.
There is zero chance Pine Ridge has spent 1% of the fees they collect in course maintenance.
40 years of golfing and never have I seen such a run down, ill maintained course.
Charging between $50-90 to play there ? Hilarious!
Absolute disgrace and embarrassment at any price.
Neglected.
Terrible. The course seemed to bounce back a bit but that was short lived. Bunkers were unplayable. Greens torn up. Just a shame.
Unfriendly, not forthcoming
Booked a tee time online, was told to start on the back 9. People in pro shop did not tell me that the front 9 was closed. After finishing the back 9, we had to ask about the front to find out it was closed. Starter then tried to discourage us from playing the back 9 again because a group of high schoolers had just went out ahead of us. He kept repeating it to try to discourage us from going out.
But, theyve got Tee times
Tee boxes were chewed up, Greens were awful and sand traps have more gravel than sand in them, it seems. This course is never worth the money they charge you to play it, but.... They have tee times
