Morgan Hill Golf Course
About
The Morgan Hill Golf Course in Easton has a somewhat misleading name since you'll find more than just hills on this challenging course. Be prepared to face a variety of elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. The golf course has a dramatic design that is carved into a hillside, which makes it a hard course to walk but one that is visually interesting and tough to play. It may not be a layout for the faint of heart but the scenery alone is enough to provide enjoyment. Golfers can enjoy scenic views of the river, but scenic respite is the only break you'll get. There is hardly an even lie to be found and the severely undulating greens will test even the most seasoned golfers. Also, be prepared for a slew of blind shots at Morgan Hill Golf Course.

Great course
I played on that course for the first time. After reading the reviews I was worried. I don't know what kind of golfers are giving these negative reviews. I play around 50 different courses during the season. I must say that the course has a fantastic layout, very good condition, the pace was not bad for a Saturday afternoon. The course has very beautiful views on many holes. My overall rating is an absolutely beautiful piece of land.
Course good but
The but is There was nothing to eat until half way house and then that was very limited. No cart going around. Ranger did nothing just drove around. Group a head of us was slow all day. Course is nice
Ray should let people know
Played in the afternoon. Started at 3:30pm. Sunset was at 8:00pm. Finished the 17th hole at 7:30 and we were informed at 18 tee box that Ray wanted carts in by 7:40pm and we couldn’t play 18. The 2 players they put in front of us on #10 got to finish their round but the four of us who paid full price were not allowed to finish even with 30 minutes of daylight left. Was not informed of any 7:40pm deadline when we teed off. As a matter of principle will never play Morgan Hill again until Ray is gone.
slowest green sucks
the greens were slow. almost like fairway slow.. did not cut or roll the greens. it s such a shame cause it is a beautiful courese and very challenging from the tips. huge elevation changes and undulating greens. but the greens.....OMG! yes it was aerated but not cutting the grass and letting it grow for the play is just ignorant. let us know if you are trying to grow man!
Great mountain course
Being the first group out you have to deal with the morning dew but it’s well worth it. No slow golfers holding you up and the course was tough but in great shape. Once the aeration fills in on the greens watch out. Highly recommended but the rough could be cut maybe a 1/4 lower to find your golf ball a bit easier.
The Operative word is Hill
This course is more difficult than the course rating and slope. Not a good course for beginners. A lot of up and down and slanted fairways. Rarely will you get a level lie. It’s fun to play a few times a year, but not a courses I’d want to play regularly. It’ll drive you insane. We played the front in 1:30 and caught the traffic as we made the turn. The back took 2:30 waited on every tee box. Got to talk to the guys behind us who said every time they play MH, they swear the won’t come back yet here they were, complaining how hard it was and vowing again not to come back. Fairways were healthy and in good shape. Rough was inconsistent, really thick in some areas and thin in others. Tee boxes were ok. Greens in good shape, but a bit slow. The course has labeled holes 13-16 as “The Ascent”. It starts off with a difficult driving par 5. If you put your drive in play it’s an easy three shot par. A big hitter can get to an elevated green in 2. The next hole is an uphill par three that plays to over 200 yards from the back tee. Need to add one to two clubs for the elevation. The third hole in The Ascent is another par 5. The tee shot is uphill with a high / low split fairway. A well placed drive will catch the down hill slope making it reachable in two. The final hole in the grouping, hole 16, is an uphill par 4 390 yards that plays at least 420. Very tough hole for the yardage. When you make it to the green you are awarded with a beautiful view of downtown Easton. From the 16th green, you continue up to the top of Morgan Hill to another excellent view down the other side where you can see Delaware River in tje distance. 17 is a tight downhill (drop~100’) par 4. With a good drive, you’ll have a wedge into the green.
Great Views
Very tough course. A lot of rolling hills with uneven lies that create a challenging experience. Greens are difficult to read as well. In spite of all that, the views on the back 9 are some of the best around!
Absolute Wild Layout
Really loved this very hilly eastern PA course. The wild built up greens appear to have been designed to match the wild terrain.
Closes gets a lot of play and can be slow at times. Recommend stopping bay if in the area.
Very hilly
Huge hills nice views sometimes you can't tell where you're going to be hitting.
