Four Mile Ranch Golf Club sprawls across a stunning landscape of gently rolling hills. The layout closely follows the natural contours of the terrain and doesn't use any formal bunkers, in their place are white shale ridges called hogbacks. They can range anywhere in height from 3 to 30 feet and they're not even the golf course's only distinctive feature. The layout winds through natural rock outcropping and a number of mini canyons. It's as challenging as it is scenic, though, with several blind shots and intimidating greens, none of which are more daunting than that on the memorable par-5 sixth. This tough green is obscured by huge rocks, testing not only your skills but also your ability to strategize. Four Mile Ranch G.C. offers a golf experience like none other in the area.

Enjoyable time at Four Mile Ranch GC

We had a very enjoyable 9-holes at Four Mile. The course was in very good shape given the dry season, altitude, and timing. Very good turf conditions in the fairway and the greens were smooth and true.

The facilities at the course are somewhat limited but the friendliness of the staff was great. This was our first time here and it is a bit off the track from Denver but well worth the visit if you are in the area.

The course has some unique holes on the front (didn’t see the back). The greens are challenging but on a few holes very forgiving (depending on the placements).

All in all, a great round of golf.

Unique golf experience

Very friendly staff!! From out of town rental clubs left a lot to be desired. Never played a course where there was a blind approach on a part five. Also part three with a aiming pole very unique. Probably the most undulated greens I’ve ever play. Have to see to believe. All in all I enjoyed my Round and Ewood play the course again if I were in the area.. luckily I was playing with a local that knew the course and was able to help me out with some blind shots

Amazing golf course

The golf course was brilliant, the staff as well were excellent and kind, even gave me a free ball marker and a bucket of range balls. The range is very unique, as is the entire course. There’s a lot of fun blind holes and when you aren’t in the rough or fairway, good luck finding the ball. Overall it was an amazing experience, just a shame there wasn’t any bar/restaurant connected with the course. For the price I’d definitely recommend trying this course!

Watch out for those hot deals!

Unfortunately, we got there and the greens had just been punched in sanded. We should’ve suspected something when we saw the.hot deal of 50 bucks a player. Would be nice if it was mentioned on GolfNow when you buy the tee time. Other than that, the only other complaint I had is that they did not have marshals and allowed people to play groups of five with extremely slow pace of play.. On a positive note, the rest of the course conditions were pretty good and the views are epic!

Very fun course

Course was in excellent condition, except for the aeration on greens. They need to do it. The pictures cannot capture the beauty. It would be like dropping a golf course at the Garden of the Gods!

this is my favorite Colorado course. It is a 2.5 hour drive for me, so I only get to play it 2 or3 times a year. It is great fun every time.

Amazing spring conditions

Had a good day on the course. It was my second day in a row and the course was in great condition. Freshly mowed greens made for optimal putting conditions. Staff is friendly and carts were clean. Played as a single and was able to play through a couple groups for a quick 2.5 hour round.

Challenging course

Interesting course. Utilized natural habitat. We couldn't see a reason for cart path only.

Blind shots

The course was fine just had several blind shots and greens tucked behind rock formations. Greens were very undulating with most 2 or 3 tiers. Pace of play was just okay since our foursome was waiting on a twosome. Cart path only was a pain and no one told us that in the pro shop or at the starter shack.

Four Mile outing

Weather is always just a little warmer south of us in COS. Staff are always friendly. Greens were a little furry, but expected this time of year. Cart path only seems to be the norm for this course unless handicapped. It’s a shame 90 degree rule or driving in the rough isn’t permitted.

It really would advance playing time for golfers.

Great layout

The course is a little quirky but that made it fun and for March, it was in great shape. We were paired with a gentleman who had played the course before so he was very helpful with ball placement, etc. The course was cart path only which was fine for us and we ended up walking over 4 miles. We loved the 'markers' which help you with the blind shots. We look forward to playing the course again soon.
