Southaven Golf Center

City of South Haven should really be ashamed. It’s the only public course they have. It’s only nine holes. And yet it is really in need of a lot of attention. First there were no golf carts. That’s ridiculous, buy more golf carts. You have people that have paid for rounds and can’t start because they’re waiting for carts to be brought back in. Next the tea boxes are in horrible shape. They slant, they’re uneven, they’re dirt. It’s not hard to build and maintain tee boxes. You only have two per whole so you’re talking about 18 tee boxes to build and maintain. There are weeds everywhere. They were out there spraying pesticides in the middle of the day while people are playing and breathing that in. But at least they’re trying. And the greens are absolutely atrocious. They’re slower than shag carpet if you’re gonna start anywhere with getting rid of weeds, start there and then cut the grass lower than normal, put some sand out, that’s really all you got to do to make a vast improvement. Lastly take some trees out especially on the third fairway. It could be a nice hole but between the trees and the uneven dirt beneath them because no grass can grow in on a fairway you can’t play the hole and expect to get anything better than a par. Oh and they put in a new bathroom that apparently already isn’t working and was locked so I couldn’t even use it and needed to. It could be a nice course it just needs some help

It's a good course for beginners and good price. The only draw back is that too many people are booked at the same time so the pace of play on the weekend is terribly slow. We played this past weekend and there would be 5-6 groups waiting at the tee boxes.

My son and I went for the first time yesterday at noon. The staff was friendly, everything was in order, and I was able to get checked in flawlessly. The course was taken care of well and the pace was smooth. We will play there again.

This seems to be a great beginner course but do not recommend if you are looking a normal pace.

Took over two hours to play a par 33 course with several short holes. Multiple large groups in front including a 8 some. Must be normal for groups to bounce around and replay holes because saw multiple people doing this.

Made my tee time online and it says cart includes. Showed up and there is no carts and unable to cancel.

This course has the best staff around and is extremely easy going. They offer lots of different drink options including Michelob ultra! my favorite! They also have chick fila on Saturdays and have the best prices everrr. The range is great and always has grass to hit on. The course on the other hand could use some work.

Course could be better if the city of Southaven would drop a little money into it instead of Snow-den Grove.

Ball washers don't work and will not be replaced. Sometimes too many players are grouped together.
