Golfer Reviews
Needs some revamping to regain playability
The course is built closely situated to a ski hill so there is lots of elevation up and down. Most par 3s are dramatically downhill. Carts are mandatory with good reason. All bunkers have been replaced with grass changing the strategy involved. Fairway are usually angled one way or the other leading to many ball running off the fairway, into the rough or the impenetrable tree line. Many blind shots creating a less than enjoyable round the first time playing.
Fanatastic and challenging course with amazing staff - great time
Exceptional layout with hilly fairways
Friendly staff. Welcome free water. Everything great but some work needs to be done on tee off area and broken cart paths. Beautiful and scenic course. Definitely recommend. One day use resort with friends ~
Be careful navigating this course
This is a beautiful track with picturesque view in every direction. Of the conditions are wet or damp, I would not recommend playing. There are several cart path areas that are extremely dangerous and you will lose control of the cart and slide, no matter how careful you are. I was not warned of this fact when I started.
courses in great shape but it’s not worth 240 bucks for two people
Great Conference Center Course
Hour and a half drive north of Toronto, worth it. Each hole is different, many elevation changes and wide to narrow fairways. Great scenery in a rural setting.
Beautiful course that hasn’t been maintained
It’s a shame to see such a beautiful course go downhill like that. The cart paths are extremely rough and in horrible shape. The greens were in decent condition but the tee decks and everything else was run down. Great course layout but not worth the money.
Also the starter was not friendly at all. I brought my wife and paid for her round which was $140 but the starter said he would have to kick her off the course if he saw her golfing because she didn’t have clubs. I was going to let her use mine for a few holes just to have fun. He should have dealt with it much differently but instead was very rude about it even though we had 10 other friends with our bill being over $1700 without food and drinks. You think he would let it go considering the amount we spent to be there on a weekday when it wasn’t at all busy.
After the experience with the starter on the first hole it was very hard for me not to go back to the pro shop and ask for my money back before even starting.
Beautiful course
Hockley Valley Golf Course is a beautiful course with great views of the surrounding hills. The greens and fairways are in great shape. The cart paths are in need of repair, however. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Overall, a very enjoyable course to play.
