Good course
Played here a bunch of times it’s a nice course a little expensive for what it is, the legend course is nicer then the legacy both are fun.
Great courses but over priced.
Two great courses that I believe are overpriced. I won't be returning.
A challenge for any golfer
A fun course with lots of variation. I would like to have the first hole moved to 3rd or later lol. It is a tough starter.
Marshall
we really needed someone to deal with slow group in front -- really slow and made the game frustrating enough that the young good golfer with us wont be back - two slowest rounds he ever played both at this location.
I would have to think twice to come back even at 100.00 and my friend- we used to love the course but it has to move along
Decent course but NO RANGE!?
Show up to the course an hour early to get some warm up time in to find out that the range is closed and has been for a while. Makes absolutely no sense to me since every other course possessing a range is still open. Especially when you’re still charging summer rates at the end of October which is also a joke.. lastly there were only 4 sleeves of golf balls for sale of which I was informed they were $20 + tax per sleeve which would make them the most expensive dozen balls on the planet. It cost me $170 something dollars to play a mediocre course in almost November because I bought 2 sleeves of balls.
Good people
Good golf course but for the price it needs to be maintained ALOT better and the cart paths are super rough and a little dangerous with oncoming carts on blind hills and the bridges are very rotten ! Nice friendly staff !! Nice greens!
Great course
One the best and challenging courses in the area, the back 9 of the legends course is not as nicely maintained as the front. Also In front of18th green is looking over grown where all the rocks are, which is too bad because it’s one of the best features of the course.
Gorgeous Course
Legends is a fantastic course. Scenic, challenging but playable. It's not overly busy too which is nice. On a weekday, you could be playing this and feel like you are the only one there. If you only play one course at Woodington, play Legends. Its vastly superior to Legacy.
Rained the previous night and through the morning
Unfortunately for me, my son and playing partner canceled. Our tee time was 1250pm . He thought it would be rain throughout the round which didn't happen. Since I booked 8 days before I guess it cost me for t players. Regardless. The course was in fantastic condition and cart path only ( which I expected) I never saw any rain. The course drains really well so this wasn't a problem at all. So beautiful! Wild turkeys on some fairways. I shot my best round of the year on a course this challenging. I had to golf by myself as everyone else expected rain . The course is a hour drive for me but, so worth it! There are 2 courses at Woodington Lakes. The Legends ( which I played) and Legacy! My round took 3.45 hrs. I had nobody in front and nobody behind. This always makes for a good round as your tempo and flow is consistent! I would have been disappointed if I holed out but, other than someone to verify lol, I fully enjoyed my round! The scenery is fantastic an course immaculate. Yes, the only disappointment was paying for 2 and not having somebody else to enjoy the round with! .......Paul 72 years and posted a solid 92!
Paid for pass that course manager didn’t honor
Let me start by saying this is a beautiful very challenging course. We’ve been playing woodington Lakes for the last 10 years and play at least 4-6 rounds a season there. I had a very bad experience yesterday as I bought passes (green fees) for the course a few years back at the golf show. As I moved to Florida for the last few years I wasn’t able to use them. Yesterday I tried to use the pass and the manager told me that they were no good. (There is no expiry on the pass)
He gave me a lame $20 discount for “my troubles” and sent us out. Sad to say but I will not be playing Woodington again and will take my clients to play elsewhere. Very disappointing as I feel scammed.
