About
Black Diamond Golf Club was carefully carved from the foothills and hardwood and pine forests of the Kawartha Oakridge Moraine. The natural landscape, which is covered in fescue, provides many challenges including several elevation changes and water hazards. The layout is unique in that the front nine is more of an open, links style with a double green and numerous pot bunkers, while the back nine has a more traditional North American character. Black Diamond Golf Club's back nine has a few tricky blind shots that present a formidable test for players of all skill levels. The golf course also has rolling fairways lined with trees, carefully sculpted mounding, and 70 strategically placed bunkers throughout.

Highly Recommend
Really enjoyed playing here. Lots of challenges, well maintained, greens were quick and undulating. The staff were welcoming from the pro shop, starter, marshall and serving staff. I will definitely play this course again when I'm in the area.
The course has something to say for itself when it takes you three hours to play nine holes whoever is in charge of organizing teatime needs to go back to school. Probably my last time I will play that course..
Excellent course conditions
Overall enjoyable day. Course and weather were excellent. A couple of unconventional holes to deal with and significant elevation changes throughout the course.
Pace of play is ridiculously slow
Picturesque course with some really fun holes and in pretty good condition. It took over five hours to complete our round on Saturday. They have a marshall, but he doesn’t push the groups. When we politely asked him why things were moving so slow slowly, his response was: “it’s the weekend, what else do you expect?” Waiting on every shot and. having three groups on one tee box on multiple occasions really put a damper on what otherwise would’ve been a pretty fun day.
The course is in good condition and is challenging, especially as our group are seniors. The greens are pretty quick and there is a lot of undulation on many greens. Although reasonably busy, pace of play was good as it took less than 4 1/2 hours for the round. The only negative was the amount of workers on the course, either maintenance or contractors.. Although all did their best not to hinder play, we came across workers on at least 50% of the holes.
We will return to see what improvements are made in the near future.
I enjoy playing this golf course
Always a pleasure to play this course. From the pro shop staff to the starter. Always friendly. Now that we have got some rain. The course is in great shape. We did have a bit of a hail storm but nothing tge course could have done.
Challenging and Fun
A nice change from the usual. Challenging course that is well maintained. Fairways were nice and green compared to other courses where everything is burnt. Beer prices are reasonable too.
