About
Rockway Vineyards Golf Course offers an 18-hole championship round with the Niagara Escarpment and the Rockway Conservation Area serving as the backdrop. The course sprawls across the vineyards of the Rockway Vineyards Estate Winery. The rolling landscape provides tricky elevation changes and there are numerous ponds and bunkers throughout the golf course. The layout features large, sculpted greens and fairways that are flanked by more than 60 sand bunkers. The front nine features a challenging set of par 4s and fast, undulating greens. Vineyards's back nine begins gently with short approach shots and birdie opportunities but becomes more challenging once you hit the 13th hole, a par-4 dogleg left.

The course was great
The pace was great. Marshall was friendly. We just got paired with a very angry person and he does not seem to enjoy the game that much. There are also couple big groups. Green and fairways were in good condition.
It was hot day
It was over 32 degree and very hot 🥵
But we could make it, and enjoy drinking draft beer
at cooling restaurants.
Good time
Course is in good shape greens were speedy but fair played as a single put with a father and daughter and another single friendly group pace of play was great done in about 4hours rarely had to wait.
Slow, slower, slowest
Love this course, layout and conditions, but pace of play is a serious problem - 4 hours, 35 minutes and following a fivesome. They’re simply putting too many groups on this course, and no one monitors pace of play. If you play at twilight forget about getting something to eat after nine or 18 - food service closes with lots of players still on the course, Not impressed.
Random Visitor
So we played golf at Rockway yesterday afternoon. Sandtraps were pools. One guy in clear view picked up my errant ball after "fore" and denied having it.
Busy because of Father’s Day. Paired up with two late 20’s early 30’s guys. They got totally hammered and smoked pot the whole round. Banged into our cart with theirs at one point then laughed their heads off. Played more balls than they were supposed to. At one point we had 5 balls on the green and “Thomas” couldn’t remember hitting 2. Staggering around. Hiccuping like drunks. Probably the worst guys I’ve ever played with. And, totally ignored my shots. Always drove ahead of my ball and then parked in the fairway in my line. By #17 I thought the heck with it and aimed right at them. Unfortunately my ball went to the right so I missed them. Took us over 5 hours to play. What a crappy game.
Always Great
This is definitely the hidden Gem of Niagara. Love this place , always in fantastic condition nice new snack and beverage hut. Doesn't get much better. I have only one thing to say and this is the first time EVER. We stopped fir a beer and a sausage at the turn. As we were finishing 10 the Marshall told us to shorten the gap between the guys in front of us. Now , yes we did get our refreshments and we're a few minutes but by no means we're we holding anyone up. The group behind us hadn't even made it up the fairway as we left the green. So no need to rush us at all. That's It.
Best shape of courses I have played this year
Traps need work otherwise good. On traps that you gave up on. Fix properly with top soil.
Beechwood and Rolling Meadows I would not play till summer
Course was in great condition, started right on time
Poor pace of play.
Tee time was 8:30am for context. What would have been a sub 4 hour round turned into almost 5 hours. Marshall not attending to the group in front that had 2 holes wide open for them. And he was on our case for the first few holes. Felt bad for the group behind us. However it was a beauty day, course was a little wet, but still a great time. Pace of play biggest issue at this course.
The course was very wet and soft, and was not worth the price charged.
