The Hawk Niagara Falls Golf Club - Red Talon
About
The Red Talon Course (formerly known as The Hillside Course) is one of three nine-hole courses at The Hawk Niagara Falls Golf Club. It is similar to the original course at the club, the Blue Niagara, in that water comes into play on four holes. This golf course, however, uses the many lakes scattered throughout its landscape in creative ways to provide a unique set of challenges. There are also strategically placed bunkers bordering the fairways and greens. The golf course starts out with the shortest par-4 at The Hawk Niagara Falls Golf Club but bites back with a tricky par 3. The fourth and fifth holes are built between two lakes, making them particularly scenic but they also demand hitting straight.

The Hawk
Got to play this course. One of the best in the area.
Almost there
Drop the price another 20$ and I would play there all summer, still too expensive
Great game at the hawk
Me and my buddy played here on Saturday and ended up being a gorgeous day out, and the course was an absolute pristine condition
The only thing I would have to comment is just on the cost. I understand that golf is just getting expensive nowadays, but as a casual golfer and a father, it’s very tough to justify paying the original price of $300 plus for a round of golf if they keep it at about $120 around with car included, I would play here every single time I played the course is beautiful. I really have nothing bad to say about it. I recommend getting out and playing here for sure. I wanna come back and try the red course. We played blue and white and again very very very nice area. Very wonderful course. Just the price was high. We were lucky we got the deal of the 155 around. I just asked that it’d be dropped just a little bit so I could justify coming there more.
Amazing
Wife and I were in from Pittsburgh, from the second we pulled in the parking lot we knew we’d love it. Girl at the the front was awesome and friendly, course was in immaculate shape. Can’t wait to come back
I was able to play at a reduced rate of $120 which was great value. Not sure about the $350 posted rate though.
Beautiful Challenge
This course is extremely well kept Bunkers and greens are amazing
A challenging but fair layout. Lots of great changes since the new owners took over. Still a work in progress.
Staff is fantastic and very friendly
Reduced rates now from the $350 usual green fee
A must play. A 54 hole track
Nice course
Second time playing here . Enjoyed it very much
Staff very helpful
We did find the fairways very short and spotty
Greens play very fast
Was a great day of golf
The Hawk
Overall experience at the newly transformed Pen Lakes Golf course, now called the Hawk, was a fantastic experience.
The customer service really shines at the course, the pro shop, starters, Marshall's and on course cart personal are exceptional. Made every feel welcome, had some laughs and enjoyed a great day on the course.
The greens are phenomenal, they run quick and true. A couple of the holes confused me on the Red Tallon. Play started to back up on the first 5 holes because they are short par 4's or 5's. Holes 2 & 5 are driveable par 4's (someone in or group accomplished both), hole 3 is a short par 3, hole 4 is a very short par 5 (we had less than 160 after our drives), and hole 1 is almost driveable. Pace slowed during these 5 holes.
I will definitely be back, would like to play the other nine, white orchard, it has also been fully redone.
Thank you for a great experience.
Beautiful Golf Day
Had heard various reviews about this course before I arrived and the course lived up to its high standards. Staff were very helpful upon arrival and you knew that you were at a quality golf club course is very beautiful and laid out with challenging holes. Great golf day on the beautiful 🤩 golf course. Thanks 🙏
First class
This course ranks with the best in Canada 🍁 impeccably groomed, perfect bunkers. A little more work to go on renos. Bring your A game, must play. Staff very professional.
Good but not great
Greens tough to sick, hard. Bit more sand needed in traps. Rough could be shorter, saw where it landed but a tough find. Staff top notch!
I am a Legends member and this is as good for a change.
Having said that I liked the layout of the old Penisula Lakes over the Hawk.
Great course
New upgraded course. Greens and fairways in great condition, few holes still in transition but still very playable. Staff were amazing and friendly. The only downside at the moment was that the course has not been updated on golf apps.
Beautiful day of golf
Thoroughly enjoyed our round of golf . Golf course is in great shape . No complaints !
course well thought out with new design. course is in great shape give it a couple of years to fully grow I.
would definitely play again
Incredible Staff & Service
The moment you drive in, you know the experience will be surreal. High points on the course lets you oversee the Niagara escarpment alongside the perfectly maintained course. The workers approach you with a fully loaded golf cart (aside from clubs and balls) for you and your group to avoid confusion and focus on golf. The putting green, chipping green, and driving were easy to find and ready to go with practice balls. We played Orchard & Red Talon, great layout with hazards or traps on every hole. Bunkers are so nice, you don’t mind landing in one! Special shoutout to Callum & Cole for their incredible hospitality & service, they represent the club amazingly.
