Heather Ridge Golf Course
About
The golf course at Heather Ridge provides not only a good game but also spectacular views overlooking the Rocky Mountains. The former private, 18-hole course is 6,106 yards at its longest tees and plays to a par of 70. Renowned golf course designer Richard Phelps designed the course, which opened in 1972. The small greens are undulating and extremely sloped. The course also features narrow fairways and water hazards. The most difficult hole on the Heather Ridge Golf Course is the 10th hole, which is a par-5 that covers 506 yards.

Golfer Reviews
The staff is the greatest
From the people working in the clubhouse to George, who was the Marshall the young lady that drove the snap card and also the lady that works at the clubhouse. All of them were some of the nicest people I've met.
My family and I have a thing we do at golf courses. We rate them by the quality of hotdog at the turn. Yours definitely fit the bill I would easily give them a 9.9 out of 10.
John is one cool hombre. He needs coffee in the early am.
It’s a drive to get there…
The area was once a ranching area that is now becoming a huge housing area. The front nine plays like a Par 3 course. I had folks hit onto my fairway from other holes. I do not like that situation. The back nine is more spread out and is in a lovely trees area.
Greens are in good shape, staff is friendly, but the pace of play is too slow. The two foresomes in front of me took repeated attempts to hit off the tee. The Marshall was firm yet patient but the players should exhibit better manners. I only saw 2 other women during 18 holes of play.
Not worth the money.
Pace of play was terrible. No drivers at driving range. Better values exist in the area.
Play it!
This course is in phenomenal condition and some of the nicest greens I've ever played. Local knowledge is key on a few holes to save strokes.
Course was in great shape considering the drought.
My son and I really enjoyed the round and the conditions of the course. The pace of play was perfect! The weather definitely warmed up as the sun got higher. Thank you for a great experience!
Very well mantained!
Beautiful course, fairways are very well mantained and staff are super friendly, I enjoyed very much playing here!
So slow I quit after 9 holes
There’s a Marshall but he does nothing, 3 hours for 9 holes on a Weekday morning- pathetic pathetic
Great course
I love this course, it’s a perfect course to go get a 9 in or if you have time a full 18, the course has it’s challenges in its own retrospective, the staff is super friendly and the facility is very clean! I would recommend this course to everyone I know that plays!!
Tight course and slightly overpriced than most in area
Tight course. No bev cart service only 1st and 18th holes.
More expensive than other courses in the area.
Course was in good condition but not worth $80 for senior rate and was cath path only because of "dry conditions" dispite getting over 2 inches of rain in the past 12 hours.
Tired
This course could be so much better. I realize there is a drought. I get the dry conditions but clean up the ponds - they are ugly and they stink. Probably shop guy needs to lift his eyes from the computer screen - he called me sir. No excuse. We won't be back.
Heather Ridge
Great course even due to the drought. the only problem is all the geese and droppings all over the course.
First Time
Course layout was great, fun course. Lot of dead grass but we are in a record hot summer. Overall, would recommend the course.
Great Denver-area Public Course
We play a lot of local Denver area courses and this is a great option. We played the Front 9 which is a par 35 and relatively short - there is one Par 5 and most of the Par 4s are in the 350 yd range, even from the back tees. Colorado is going through a drought and all of the courses are pretty dry, so I won't hold that against HR. I thought staff and rangers were great and it is a great lower cost optino.
Fun Creative Course
For being in a drought, the course was in incredible shape. Pace of play was phenomenal. Kind of course that makes you think off the tee.
Not terribly long when not playing form the tips.
I find Colorado to be a little pricy when it comes to public golf courses, including this one, but would come back and play here again.
Great Course to hop on!!!
We grabbed a last minute tee time and had a truly wonderful time. Every staff member we came into contact with was so friendly and helpful. The pace of play was good and the course was in great condition. We would play this course again.
