Aurora Hills Golf Course

About
Aurora Hills Golf Course is a par-72 course that stretches over 6,600 yards. Henry B. Hughes designed the course that opened in 1969. The fairly flat course has wide, tree-lined fairways and water hazards come into play on some holes. There are also a good amount of sand bunkers. Beautiful lakes situated on the course create a tranquil atmosphere. The course is easily walkable and the beautiful landscape makes for a nice stroll. The signature hole of this municipal course is the par-5 10th hole. It is considered to have lovely, scenic views. Aurora Hills Golf Course's greens are bent grass while the fairways use Bermuda grass.

Absolute Pleasure Today
It was just an absolute pleasure to play Aurora Hills today in all respects. Wide open, fun, grip it and rip it course with little trouble and outstanding green complexes, and at half the rate of commonground down the street. Had a blast today. Details below if interested.
From the time I showed up this morning I had the model golf experience. Golf shop very welcoming and offered me to start early if I wanted to. I was a single today so after some warmup on the range and the excellent short game area, I went off early walking. I found the course in excellent shape especially considering it’s November. Greens were in pristine condition, firm and fast, and with all the slope and contours the greens were quite a fun challenge. Played through a foursome at the turn and off I went like I owned the place despite the robust amount if golfers out on a cool windy Monday. Honestly the only thing preventing a 5 star rating was the layout is a little too simple to be a 5 star track, but that also makes it very playable and a lot of fun. And it was nice to have a proper 19th hole with food, drinks, and a comfortable place to chill overlooking the course. I will happily come back. Just a great day today.
This course was nice to play. Open fairways.
Golf Now, priced me at $75.17 with a $15.67 Sur charge included. When I got to the course, I was told to pay $93.00. They did not honor the Golf Now price. They said I would have to take it up with Golf Now. Wasn't happy.
Quote on price
The course was in good shape. I booked with Golf now. The quote was $59.00 with a $15.00 booking fee. I was charged $93.00 at the course. When I questioned the price, I was told to take it up with Golf Now. Not good business.
Joe
Course was not in great shape- I know its been hot, but the tee boxes were a mess, fairways not kept well, and greens we very slow- To many of other courses to play to come back to this one, thanks
Fun course and great value!
For those looking for a relaxing course with some challenges along the way, this is a great course. I had a ton of fun and as someone who is working on their game, this is a fun course for game improvement. Back 9 has a lot more obstacles than the front. Great value for what I paid and the staff was a extremely friendly. I saw that you can hit off grass at the range which is another huge plus for me.
Solid bang for your buck
Moved to CO this year and have played about 30 different courses in and around Denver. We’ve played this 5-6 times now because it’s a great deal. Course is a pretty basic layout but is always in decent+ shape and greens roll true. Food is better than expected and staff is nice.
A hills, always fun
Played in 3 hours 30 minutes, great greens as always!!
Great surprise!!
We played on July 4th. Paired with a couple singles. Very nice folks. The course was far better than I would have expected. Greens were receptive and smooth. The two gents at the chrck in desk were very helpful and pleasant. We walked and it was just a way above average experience.
Good Public Course
Walked a nice 9 holes on Saturday afternoon. As expected for a weekend it played a little slower than a 2 hour round. Course was in good shape!
