Heather Ridge Golf Course
About
The golf course at Heather Ridge provides not only a good game but also spectacular views overlooking the Rocky Mountains. The former private, 18-hole course is 6,106 yards at its longest tees and plays to a par of 70. Renowned golf course designer Richard Phelps designed the course, which opened in 1972. The small greens are undulating and extremely sloped. The course also features narrow fairways and water hazards. The most difficult hole on the Heather Ridge Golf Course is the 10th hole, which is a par-5 that covers 506 yards.

The storm missed us but we did get a sunset rainbow. Photo submitted by Buckeye28 on 08/01/2013
Great local course
Well maintained and friendly staff in pro shop and the restaurant. Requires focus on placement rather than distance.
Traffic accident caused us to be late
We encountered an unforseen traffic delay( I25 was closed northbound at Ridgegate) and called thd pri shop to inform them. They were incredibly understanding. Although we had to skip the first hole, the staff in the pro shop were great and the course Marshall drove us out to the second tee box, and made us fell as relaxed as possible starting our round.. We saw the wonderful Marshall during and after our round, and had drinks and lunch afterwards at Noonans, where we reconnected one more time. Great overall experience!
Stat home if you can't fix your Ball marks!
The course was in great shape for this time of year. Tee boxes were good. Fairways were good, And greens were good and fast, with the exception of the hillbillies in front of us that need to fix their ball marks. Come on, man! All in all, a great value for the conditions of the course. The bar and grill might need to be better staffed, but it was pretty packed. Food there is good, as I have eaten there many times in the past. Nice job Heather Ridge!
Good Course - Problematic Staff
I always enjoy playing this course, good layout and challenging without being long. Being spring I don't expect the conditions to be great at this time, nor are the amenities lacking when comparing the price.
However, I do have to comment on a member of the staff, I believe his name is Rob and he works at the desk.
This gentleman has a very poor attitude, does not treat players respectfully and in general takes the joy of playing this great sport down. I have both seen him communicate to others, as well as myself in an angry and disparaging way. It seems that Rob wants to bully and be the police of the players instead of making sure that everyone is being respectful to the course, staff and other players to ENJOY both the time and money spent playing our beloved game.
Golf is supposed to be fun at its core; Rob takes that away from us.

Ty Webb

We should be skiing.
Heather Ridge is a treat. It's the end if winter so the turf was short and dry. Not so easy to make clean contact, but the extra roll was a bonus. The greens were recently ariated, but rolled true. Short putts were true, and I even made a 10 and 12 footer. I finished as the day heated up. Sun screen is a must. The restaurant and lounge "Noonan's" serves great Mexican food, and frosty drinks. Friendly staff.
They do not accommodate handicapped golfers
I’m a handicapped golfer with bilateral foot drop. I get its drought conditions but all other courses in the area allow for handicapped golfers to drive their cart on the course. The person in the pro shop said that the cart paths and the distance to your golf ball are within ADA requirements which is false. A complaint was filed with the government in violation to ADA accessibility. Needless to say I won’t play this course again.
In addition the pace of play was horrible. The group in front of us was 2 full holes behind the group in front of them. Told the Marshall and he said what do you want me to do about it. Total joke
Great Greens
For a shorter course, it made up for the firmness and trueness of the greens. Pace of play was right at 4:15 which is great for a public course on Friday with a tee time at 11am. Easily walkable and not overly challenging.
Winter golf at its best!
With all the dry conditions in the area, and with it being March, Heather Ridge has their course in outstanding shape. Played in less than 4 hours, with cart path only, so that's a plus as well.
Nice round on a great day
Course was in winter conditions but still good shape to play. The layout can be tight due to housing around some holes but was still a very enjoyable round. Plenty of challenges!
Great Time
The weather was great.. The course was in great shape. Good friends and good golf. If you haven't played here yet, you're in for a good time.
February golf
It's just amazing to be playing golf in Colorado in February. Great course. Friendly staff and one of the only courses in the metro that allows carts all be it cart path only.
Save your money
This course is fine for what it is, mostly a dog track. The pro-shop staff is the worst aspect and the customer service is atrocious. Won't offer a rain check for the back 9, even if you're unable to finish the round and haven't started the back. I usually play here once a week, but I think I'll definitely be finding a nicer course with more understanding employees.
Value
Great golf course and staff, one of the only courses in the area that allows carts, all be it cart path only Mondays thru Thurs the whole course on weekends. Great experience.
Making tee time
Could barely understand answering lady for tee time for reservation. She couldn’t answer questions about course. Never played there and should’ve just called clubhouse directly
