This private club has made a big comeback since a new owner took over following a highly publicized bankruptcy.

Home values are once again sky-rocketing with the September groundbreaking on the $400 million ultra-luxury Montage Big Sky near the clubhouse.

Non-members who rent real estate in the community have limited access to the course (as will resort guests).

The Tom Weiskopf course is a very enjoyable play. Weiskopf's signature short par 4s are always good, although this one, No. 17, isn't drivable for most of us, playing downhill anywhere from 322 to 349 yards. The other good holes (especially the par-3 15th) more than offset any glitches in the routing (notably the arduous par-5 seventh hole).

Several comfort stations, stocked with goodies, will keep you happy, even if your game won't.
