Grand Summit Golf & Country Club

At a glance, the course did not look bad at all. The pro shop attendant was friendly and there was no pressure on the pace of play due to not a lot of people being out there. As we got going, though, we found out why. It was a tale of greenskeeper's revenge at it's finest, even though there wasn't a greenskeeper in sight (nor a cart girl). Pins placed on slopes on multiple holes and putts rolling off several greens as a result. Greens were dry and insanely fast. Some fringes were flooded, so even if you wanted to compensate and bounce one on the green as the round went on, it would die in the sludge. While we had some lucky kicks on the front, it want enough to make up for a course trying to mirror the PGA Championship on a random Friday. It want this bad in the past, but it was bad enough to not consider returning or at least returning for a very long time. Not to mention, the cart paths are in need of upkeep as it's very dangerous as we almost tipped the cart and we couldn't get the the brakes to lock without great effort.

Older course with a lot of character and quite a few fun and unusual holes. Greens were ok with a couple not too good. Lightning fast and not flat. The guy in the shop told me they had just had a tournament and the pins were still set for tournament so that may explain my frustrations.

Course is not a great place. Very Mickey Mouse it will drive you crazy.

Pace of play was extremely slow. Ended up having a slight family emergency after the first nine and staff said they couldn’t do a voucher for the back nine. Disappointed!

This course is one of the harder courses in Kansas City. It has the potential to be one of the better ones in the city. It is unfortunate that the patrons of the course don’t take better care of it! Fixing divots and picking up your trash should be a natural reaction.

Would play again good price for the course some of the greens were a little rough but overall would play again fun course you have to use every club in the bag.

D.U.M.P. By far the worse Course We Have Ever Tried to Play!!! CART PATHS COMPLETELY FALLEN SPART! VERY SCARY BREAKS NOT WORKING ALMOST HAD A HORRIBLE ACCIDENT ENDING UP IN THE RIVER!!! PRACTICE NETS COMPLETELY FALLING DOWN PRACTICE BALLS FLYING BY YOU EVERYWHERE THE WHOLE TIME WE WERE THERE!!! Course Seriously Looled like a Scene From THE WALKING DEAD!!! CLUTCH SLIPPED ALOT AND WOULD NOT CLIMB SOME HILLS! We Quit after 11 or 12 Holes Because the Back Nine was worse than the Front!!! NEVER EVER WILL WE GO THERE AGAIN NEVER NEVER NEVER!!! ID GIVE UP GOLF BEFORE PLAYING OR TRYING TO PLAY SOMETHING LIKE THIS! A TRUE TACOBENDER!!’
