Not bad for the money
This is a fun course, but, it is a little beat up from the heat. The tee boxes are not bad, and the fairways are in great shape. The greens are beat up the most and do not roll true at all. It is late in the season, so I'm not surprised too much. The starter is super nice and engaging and the workers in the shop and snack bar are also very firendly.
Greens in bad shape
Greens in terrible shape. Otherwise a beautiful course.
Too long and in terrible condition
My average drive is less than 250 yards and as a result, I couldn't reach any of the par fours in regulation even from the gold tees. Even from those tees, only one par 3 was less than 160 yards. The greens were in terrible condition, lots of bare spots and the areas that were covered by grass weren't smooth. Mowing of the fairways was haphazard so that the grass on the fairways was of unpredictable length, much longer in some areas than others.

very poor upkeep
Fairways were 2 inches long and the greens were mostle DIRT.
One of the best courses in KC. Play every week.
This week the greens were in terrible shape. First
time I’ve ever seen that there. Rough is consistently
3-4 inches deep and worth staying out of.
Course is in good shape
Physical layout of the course is good and the fairways are great. Most of the greens were fine, but some of the edges were rough and struggling. Pace the pace of play is always so slow out there and slow groups have to be asked to let you play through.
The Best Hidden Gem in Kansas City
I’ve now played this course twice and each time has just been a wonderful experience. The range is big and offers a great warm up prior to your round. The course itself is in great condition with beautiful lush fairways and thick fast greens. Tee boxes are being worked on to keep them nice for playing throughout the course of the season. Staff are welcoming and the price is well worth the quality of play you will experience at Fred Arbanas.
Great Course
Fred Arbanas is a well-maintained golf course. Pace of play was good and the greens were in pretty good shape. I would recommend this course and personally plan to be back again soon.
Quality course at an affordable price
I shot sub 90 for the first time here! Several holes on the back nine are towards the lake and the views are spectacular!!
