Needs work
The course is not in very good condition in many areas. The traps are awful, there are many unkempt areas. The greens were okay but are showing signs of stress.
Workin hard
Growing new grass in fairways working hard , greens some 75% some 50 but getting better good for beginning players intermediate player don’t kid yourself
Liked the course
Plenty of parking, the staff were very nice. The course was in ok shape. Tee boxes could definitely use some work.
Where is the course maintenance?
I played Ed "Porky" Oliver's for the first time in a number of years. Not that it was ever an Augusta of public courses but I was surprised by its condition. Someone I played with at Delcastle said Oliver's was in poor shape, and it turned out he was right. With revenues up in recent years, why have other public courses put more into keeping the course up? You have to with the big increases in number of rounds played on your course. This place needs to react to these criticisms and get prepared for next season.
Good value for a Hot Deal
I am not a fan of courses where the holes are all side-by-side vs. there is more distance to the course and the holes are isolated from each other...but I got a great Hot Deal of $44/round including golf cart.
No yardage markers makes this tough
Weekday midday pace of play was fast, however I had to guess distances a lot because there are hardly any yardage markers. You’re lucky to find the 100 buried in the grass with all the red paint faded off. No water coolers while real feel 107 degrees.
Good for the money if u go through the app
Very empty when we played . No rush. Course has a couple blind shots from the tee. Makes it hard to find ball but other than that . Nice easy greens but some empty no sand bunkers
no yardage markers, no water, fast weekday play
Range finder required as there are barely any yardage markers…only 100s buried flat in the fairways with all the paint worn off. That’s it besides the scorecard.
No water coolers on the course.
Played in 3hrs 25min solo on a weekday midday.
Bunkers
The bunkers are terrible. Ungroomed, and filled with water. I played twice here within the past month, and it still hasn’t changed. Sad 😑

Easy to follow course, beginner friendly layout. Very chill vibes.
