Horrific course conditions
The course was not maintained at all. There were weeds throughout the course and it was difficult and at times impossible to differentiate between the fairway and the rough. Greens are nonexistent. They were either set up on a patch of raw dirt or just incorporated into the fairway making putting impossible.
3rd world country course
First time playing this course... greens haven't been cut and grass was burnt. Sprinklers going off at 3:00 pm on the greens. I had to literally chip on the "green" due to it not being cut. Never coming back, waste of money.
So disappointing
I have played this course about 15 times in the last 2 years and have always been happy about it. That changed yesterday. After getting no notification regarding its condition, I drove 50 miles to play it, only to find the back nine closed because so many of the greens were burned out. So, they had us play the front nine twice instead. They should have closed the entire course because those greens weren't much better! #1, 5, 8, and 9 had almost no grass on them! To make matters even worse, what wasn't dried out was completely wet in the front of the greens. I know all this is a temporary matter, but it will be a long while until I return.
Potential but poor value now
First time at this course.
Few other golfers so pace was excellent.
Course needs maintenance. Greens are in poor shape. Fairways needed to be mowed. Lots of water on course but very unsightly with algae covering them.
I'd expect a discount for play with current conditions. Reasonable request.
WATER EVERYWHERE!
I don’t mind a challenge. But this course requires near perfection. There is water EVERYWHERE! Multiple greens with water on 3 sides. Water to the left of the fairway, water to the right of the fairway. And if it’s not water it’s apartments and iron fencing. Golf courses should punish bad shots and reward good shots. You can hit good shots here and still lose a ball. I hit a shot pin high just to the right of the green. The hill pushed it right and it bounced and got pushed right again and rolled down a second hill and rolled down into the water, for being 2 feet offline. Infuriating! You hit a ball into a fairway with a blind spot and it rolls into water that juts in where you can’t even see it. I spent more money on lost balls than I did the round!! It makes me never want to go back. That’s not a good design to me. These aren’t pros out here. Most are mid to high handicappers like me. To score good here you either have to be really good or really lucky or hit shorter, safe shots and even then you will go in water. How is that fun?
Like this course!
I've played this course many times and still like it. Should mention that there is water on every hole, but it really only comes into play on about half of them. Despite the fact that this has been a relatively dry Spring, the course is really nice shape. Try it., you'll like it!
H2O
If you are not an average to above average golfer this is not the course for you. There's water on every hole, most of the greens were in horrible shape, the rough was high and lots of lost balls ! Not the enjoyment I was looking for but see it for yourself.. Even the locals and members were shocked by the course conditions
No!....Just no!!
Got to play this " Resort Style" course on a Hot Deal. Resort style?? Thats like putting a dress on a pig and calling it miss America.
Absolutely horrible condition. The greens were just atrocious! Over watered and beat to you know what. Unrepaired pitch marks made them look like a mine field. Bald spots everywhere. So bad you had to move the ball to get some sort of a putting line. I do spin the ball quite a bit and the ball was digging into the green halfway up. Fairways were firm and fast. If you're a straight hitter, your good. Have a tendency to spray the ball on occasion like me, fughetaboutit....Ball in the water. Oh, there is water EVERYWHERE! The layout is just, well, completely confusing. Play 1-4 then where is 5? Oh, they didn't change the sign and the 15th on the front 9 is really the 5th. HUH??? Couldn't find 6-8th holes. Just played a few more holes and left. If I was able to get a refund I would certainly do it. Have someone you hate? Recommend this course. Otherwise avoid it like the plague.
The only redeeming thing were the 2 young ladies in the pro shop. they were very courteous and helpful.
Review
The course is challenging, short and tight which really tests your skills. The course could be better but it needs some work. The greens are beat up from weeds growing in a good majority and players not fixing their divots. The water needs to have the fountains/filters fixed and activated for a better look aesthetically. The clubhouse and pool are in great shape and the food looks good as well. Driving range needs some help as well.
