Course needs a little more TLC
Tee boxes and greens are in the most need of some TLC. #12 tee box is currently being cared for so your hitting in front of it. Needs to keep the divot bottles full so we can repair our divots. The fairways are pretty good, it's the other things like the sand traps, greens and tee boxes that they need to prioritize.
Soggy
Cart path only which slows you down a bit, but the course was empty so I (as a single) finished in about 4 hours. Fairways were soggy, which is to be understood. But some greens have significant brown spots and quite a few tee boxes are overgrown, which goes with the value play this course has always been. Thanks!
Find the cheapest rate!
NOT worth the money paid. Should have been half the price. The fairways were OK, but very soggy like they are overwatering. Some fairways had puddles and muddy areas. The greens were dotted with unrepaired ball marks, and you had to putt through an obstacle course. Many greens had significant damaged areas. Overall, I would not play this course again unless it cost less than $30.
Good course for the money.
Pros: good course layout, nice scenic views, cool little ponds and lakes throughout, back nine (tighter) plays different than front nine.
Cons: greens not in good condition on many holes, tee boxes not mowed to normal levels on many holes, bunkers are absolute garbage, without a grain of sand. Mostly mud and hard dirt. One bunker had water that had been sitting so long there was plant growth. Another actually had Lilly pads and ducks. Kinda funny actually.
Went for a quick round with my son when visiting and paired up with another father son twosome. Was fun and staff was great.
Surprised the course condition
Played couple of years ago and was surprised the poor conditions on the fairways and some of the greens.
Just a nice little place
Everything you would hope a city course could be. Nice to have a range, front nine is open/back nine is narrow, and when it rains the course is usually in pretty good shape. It’s not hard, it’s not easy, it’s just right for the price!
Fun corse but horrible condition
Course was pretty beat up. Lots of divots on every green. Large brown patches all over the fairways. One holes fairway was flooded right before the green. The layout was fun. A few holes doglegged left and right pretty hard and made it fun.
Saddlebrook gets it
Challenging but fun course with a great cigar selection.
Challenging but unkept
The course has some fun holes with challenging shots but it’s just not maintained at all. Burned out greens, chopped up fairways and crab grass on the tee boxes. It’s still fun to play though.
Good Course
I really enjoy the layout of Saddlebrook. Staff is great. My only complaint is the condition of the course. Still playable but the greens and tee boxes were a bit rough.
We live Saddlebrook golf course!
Not only is it our backyard course it’s a great course. Clean, well maintained, and friendly employees
Great Value
The course overall was a great value for $33. Solid layout for the newbies that were with us. Greens were fair and fairways nice. Definitely worth the $33 compared to other area courses at much higher prices.
