Great Course for the Price
This course is an older course dating back to the early 1900’s. While the course needs so more attention, it’s still a great value to play. I would recommend to others to give it a try.

Played only 7 holes should have cancelled once I got there. Wait was long

Sad to see the current condition
I used to play at South Grove quite a bit many years ago and it was usually in pretty good shape. Not anymore. The greens desperately need to be rolled. They were extremely slow as well as bumpy. The rough is mostly clovers and crab grass. Tee boxes have no grass to speak of. Bummer.
Decent spot, worth playing once for the price.
Price was pretty decent at $40 for Friday. It was pretty busy for our round, waited on every hole for the group in front of us — seemed that everyone was waiting on groups in front of them. Still completed the round in 4 hours though.
Greens were comically fast which proved very challenging.
Course layout is crowded and felt like you could be hit on any hole and had 3 balls land around us. Everyone did their best to wait and call fore, just a reality of the course lay out.
Quick, Convenient, Value
Play this course often due to its proximity to my house, consistent pace of play and cost per round. Additionally this course drains extremely well, so rarely is it cart path only.
Nice Course
Very nice, well maintained course. Staff was very helpful; Course was in good shape and the greens were a nice challenge. I would definitely play again.
One of my favorite courses to play.
South Grove is close to my house and is a challenging course but not too difficult. Pace of play is almost always great, only experienced one slow round. Can usually get to course play 9 holes and get back home in under 2 hours.
