Smock Golf Course

Pace of play was excellent, course was packed. Finished 18 holes in 3.5 hrs.

The course is TOO LONG for most people so the rounds take forever. The greens are in bad shape to. Mostly because they keep them fast so they get pot-marked to extreme and no one ever seems to fix a ball mark. Overall…there are multiple other courses in the area that are better and cheaper than Smock.

Played last night with my son. Was paired with another twosome. Good guys. Pace was slow caused by a twosome in front of us. We saw at least three 4-somes stacked behind us. No ranger to be seen.

Greens were is poor condition . Needed water and other golfers did not repair ball marks. Out group repaired way more than we made.

Just not a good value or experience.

Verbally harassed and physically threatened by off duty ranger while playing on course. Will never go back if this is how they allow their staff to .

Started playing this coarse over 50 years ago and have never had a bad experience other than my score! I can afford to play any coarse open to the public around the world! Luckily I live close to this coarse and is my go to coarse with family or playing with multi million dollar customer! Over 50 years and it has never disappointed! When I went into service out of High School the Pro Jan told me to pick any set of clubs and he'd help me get them to take with me! I picked full set of Ben Hogans and bag and took them with me that day! So my whole adult life it has been my go to place and never disappointed!

Have played other courses recently that have been in rough shape due to the lack of rain.

These guys are doing amazing work to keep the course in excellent condition.

Customer service was top tier also.

We all know the rain and heat has been a challenge to every course in central Indiana this year . Smock is in the best shape of any course around and have played all over the state this year. I would highly recommend it to anyone . It’s a fair yet challenging course that’s very enjoyable.

This is a good value course for the price. The greens are a little beat up, but I think that is from the amount of amateur golfers that play this course and do not repair their pitch marks. The pace of play is always an issue because of the amount of low handicappers who play there. Overall I like the course.
