Winding River Golf Club

Tough course. Lot of trees to hit your ball into. Good practice putting green. Good hitting range. Greens and fairways in pretty good shape. Overall great value for the money. I honestly can’t think of anything negative.

It had rained overnight and early so the course wasn’t packed. We were impressed with the condition considering the amount of rain.

Staff was very considerate and helpful.

Pace of play was very slow, poor course tee time management. Cart paths were in terrible shape. Stopped after 14holes because it was so backed up.overall course conditions were not very good.

It took 4hrs and 55min to play the round. That is a ridiculous amount of time even on the weekend! It’s also 40min longer than the time given on the scorecard!

They do 8 and 7min intervals on the tee times…so two foursomes every 15 minutes. Your backed up from the 1st tee! The course is just backed up all day long. Every shot is a wait! It’s ridiculous!

The course is not worth the time it takes to play it!

First time here. Played on Father’s Day so it was very busy. However, we only had to wait on about 3-4 holes. Course was in great shape. We will definitely be back.

Great course as far as layout. As always though, pace of play issues. Could have been the holiday weekend, not sure

My group had a great experience and really enjoyed our round. The course was in good shape and was fair. I think we lucked up because the pace of play was great; we didn't wait on anyone all day long. The staff was pleasant and friendly.

The only negatives I would list are the bugs were terrible. Early in the round they were incessant. Once we made the turn, the slacked off. Another thing I would bring up is that they need to work on their cart paths. For the condition of the rest of the course, the cart paths were rough.

Overall, we had a great round and really enjoyed our experience. We will definitely play this spot again.

WHY LET 20 walkers go out on a saturday morning to hold up the rest of morning/afternoon players. backed up 5 carts deep on every hole. imo walkers should not be allowed on weekends and charge them more. if you’re walking just to save a few bucks then get a treadmill. the rest of us dont want to play 6 hour rounds and have to warm up again in between shots. other than that, course conditions are great. just better marshaling or awareness of pace of play.

Great course for any skill level. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The course is in very good condition as usual. Cart paths are due repair. Love this city course and the prices are very reasonable.

Manager aka club pro was extremely rude. Had a group of 6 playing a 3 man scramble. Keeping up with the pace of play each hole same distance behind the next group in front of us. Claimed we were not allowed to play like that. Will never go back based on how the manager treated us.

Great course.

But pin placements were brutal today.

Lipped out on an uphill 3 footer and it came back towards me and rolled all the way off the green. Only complaint would be that I don’t think the greens should be that fast with the slopes they have. But love everything else about it.

Nice challenging course. Greens are tough to putt if you’re in the wrong spot. Will play again. Played the white except in the par 3’s where I played the green tees. That makes total yardage just us see 5800. Just right for seniors, I’m 74. Shot 90, because I 3-putted 5 greens.

One improvement wood be to redo pave the cart paths. It would really enhance the course a lot.

Unbelievable course for the hot deal price of $21. Regular price at $38ish is fine. Course is in pretty good shape, fun medium length track. Cool signature hole with an old barn on it.

Course was in great shape. Staff is always pleasant and welcoming. Have a wonderful day.
