Wallinwood Springs Golf Club
About
Wallinwood Springs Golf Club is bordered by the scenic Grand River on its eastern side. The challenging layout boasts an island green, an island tee, and a peninsula fairway. The golf course has two distinctly different nines, beginning with an open Scottish-links layout before moving onto the back nine, which is enclosed by mature trees. Wind definitely plays a role on the front nine and on the backside of the course there is a 26-acre, man-made lake, where if you're not careful you'll be met with a watery grave on five holes. Extensive mounding is paired with 30 strategically placed sand traps to provide even more challenges. The most difficult hole on the golf course is the par-4 16th, which stretches to more than 400 yards. Golfers will need a long, straight drive from the island tee in order to avoid the water on both sides of the fairway.

Sooo disappointed
It’s been a few years since I played here. My memories were far different than the reality.
I’ll start with the positive. The staff from check in to cart girl were very friendly. No complaints there.
Pace of play. Very slow. Teed off at 12:28 and finished after 5:30. What a round killer. After 8 holes it felt like we’d been out all afternoon.
Course conditions were horrible. Tee boxes were fairly chopped up and weedy. That was the best part of the course. Fairways were weedy with large barren areas with little or no grass. Bunkers were primarily a dirt mud base with a sandy muddy overlay and looked like they hadn’t been tended all summer long. Very difficult to gauge any type of response coming out of. Next, the greens. Again, large areas that were totally barren with dried cracked mud and blight everywhere. The areas that did have grass were chopped up and very rough. Cart paths haven’t been resurfaced in maybe forever. Potholes, cracks, roots, etc made them so bouncy and uneven that my magnetic speaker nearly jumped off several times. It seem like not a penny has been put into the course at all.
Finally, to top it off, when the beverage cart comes around, they don’t even have a portable card reader, so they have to physically take your cc and you have to go to the bar after your round to get it and sign your bill.
Won’t ever be back.
Grumpy guy
Played 18…course was great no complaints there. We were on hole 4 when the older guy who was working up front came flying up on a golf cart demanding to see my cooler. I showed him the bottle of water and can of coke I had and he said “oh ok I got a bunch of phone calls must’ve been another group” he then drove away leaving us perplexed. Why is it that every guy who works at a golf course is automatically a jerk???
Course conditions underwhelming
dead spots on the greens, dead and crowned tee boxes.. ownership could, actually invest in it.
Too Pricy
At best this course should cost at $40 for 18 and a cart. A lot of the greens are in terrible shape. Tee boxes are worse than the greens. Can't find a level spot to stand. Fairways were okay. Cart paths are in rough shape.
Not Worth the Money

Busy, poorly maintained
Love this course. It’s handy and playable…. But they overbook it if the ranger isn’t going to help out and the tee boxes and sand traps are unplayable. Which is just unacceptable for a course this busy.
Great day of Golf
Couple of greens have some dead spots but the rest of the course was in great condition. We've played it before and will play it again.
Nice surprise
Not sure what to expect.
Nice layout with plenty of distance
Some very good holes.
Not too many tight driving holes
Greens in nice shape, a bit scruffy other areas
Staff was very friendly
