Course was built in the 20's and all but one of the greens was original. Conditions were spotty.
It is always sad when these older courses close.
Lincoln Country Club
Not sure what was wrong, but the greens were in terrible shape. Disease? Huge cracks in the soil and grass spotty. Not really suitable for putting. Fairways ok.
This course is cheap but fun
This course is very cheap and has mediocre layout at best. Bunkers are very poorly taken care of and the greens are 50/50. Still a fun course for $20. It’s a great starter course for newer players since it’s pretty short.
Absolutely horrible course.
This is the worst golf course ive ever played. Ground is rock hard, brown, and covered in weeds. Will never return.
Trash
I read bad reviews about this place prior to playing, but I held some optimism still. However, when playing, I quickly realized how right the reviews were. This course is absolute garbage. Its dry, cracked, dusty, overgrown, and just overall poor. It has so much potential to be an awesome course, but it is not well kept whatsoever. It is the worst course I have ever played and might be the worst in West Michigan.
Unfriendly Service, Tee times before open
I booked a tee time with a link from their website and 8 am was the only time available. We showed up at 7:45 to make sure we had time to check in but no one was there and the building was locked. 2 people showed up at 8:05 and didn't acknowledge our group. When we entered to pay, I told them I had an 8 am tee time and they said they do not open until 9 so I tried explaining their website allows for tee times every 10 minutes from 8-9 and was offered no explanation or apology. I would understand if it were earlier in the year but I can imagine I'm the first person to inform them since it was August. I will not be returning.
Mega stinky course conditions
Half the greens were super dry, brown, and cracked. Made putting almost impossible. Some of the holes had portions sectioned off cuz they were previously flooded and were now unplayable. Had my nuts squashed 20 times cuz the whole course, cart paths included, was super bumpy. Needed a seat belt on the cart. Back 9 took twice as long as the front 9 cuz it was overbooked. Overall not a very enjoyable experience.

This course should be taking off golf now.com it was in so bad of shape that will never go back

The course needs a lot of work. Weed control, watering, the greens have bare spots. Cat paths are very rough..
