Golfer Reviews
Outstanding Course!
I’ve been fortunate to play several top public & private courses in my 42 years playing golf - The Meadows is a great track! Course was in excellent condition, greens were quick & rolled great, along with the pace of play being perfect (4 hours for 18). I’d strongly recommend getting out for a round.
No on course range
The was a ourse ranger on the 1st tee but that was the only time you saw him. Hw was essentially the starter. By the time we got to the 4th hole, a par 5, we were one of 2 foursones on the tee. There was also a foursome playing their 2nd shots. There was no group on the green..As busy as the course was (July 4) it would have been nice to see a ranger roaming and get the slow groups to pick up the pace.
Slowly becoming overrated
My first problem occurred while checking in, I made the reservation through golfnow saying I only have to pay $60 due at course, and when I checked in, I was told I had to pay their daily rate at $75 saying there’s a miscommunication because golfnow and the clubhouse. Second problem was the round lasting 5 hours, the pace of play is horrible, the 3 rangers they had that day never enforce pace of play. Greens were punched but very fast and inconsistent, the course itself is also very dry. Meadows may be becoming overrated for its value. I also had to share a cart with a random due to their lack of carts I was told, which isn’t the biggest problem ever.
Pure greens
Championship golf conditions, fast and firm. This is a must play when in the area.
Immaculate but challenging and most of all fun!
Course is kept in fantastic shape. The track is very fun, you get beautiful wildlife and natural scenery experience throughout the entire round. Risk and reward are big factors and few people will experience the reward. Tall grass is tough as it gets. Greens are fast and true and will test you on every hole. It’s the kind of course you get a double and still get to the next tee box and feel inspired by what lies ahead. I’ll absolutely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic round of golf.
This course has great features
The course was immaculate conditions with best greens seen on a public course.
Ranger was a little tight on pace, but that might have been because of an even later in the day.
Definitely will golf here again as the value/conditions/difficulty makes it a fantastic course to play.
Challenging Course but fun
Lightning quick greens, great course condition, nice Sunday golfing. We'll be back. Staff was friendly.
Excellent course! Well maintained and Challenging
I was fortunate to play The Meadows for my first time when I saw they had a pretty heavily discounted rate on Golf Now for Mother's Day - glad I did. I'm a 25 handicap golfer and I usually stick to cheaper, but still decent courses. This is was definitely a step up or two from those. Although I didn't hit on the practice facilities - they looked wonderful when driving in to the pro shop. Staff up front was friendly, course ranger was very kind as well. The course, even in the spring, is incredibly well maintained. The greens were fast and challenging. Best fairways I've seen so far early in the season from about 6 different courses. Tee Boxes are impeccable. The course is challenging, but forgiving as well. I was lucky enough not to hit any bunkers (not sure how) but they looked awesome and pretty challenging. You can tell The Meadows knows their GOLF! Definitely recommend! Hopefully I can go back again!
Cart path only
No complaints about the course just wish either golf now or the course could let you know it’s cart path only before you book the tee time.
Great November conditions
3 hour round , great condition $49 for wife and I w TeeOff discounts
Best traps of year. As close to UKingdom I’ll get.
FAST greens, dead areas on fairwAys
Wife played for first time here, lows 50s not too bad for senior. Buddy and I got hooked up w an ice lefty retiree named Tim and we played one tee back from women’s only 5200 yrds. Shot 85. So much easier. Cut away some swamp in front of 18th green. Paid $95 for 3 of us on TeeOff.
David the starter still there, I made him famous.
Not our favorite course in world, wife said 1 and done.
