A Gem… will play again.
Challenging greens and well maintained course. It’s a public course that feels and plays like a private one. There are coolers with ice and bottle water I. The course. Pace of play was not rushed and not behind. Stag was polite. Just an observation, a lot of grounds crew on the course Monday morning. Probably why the course is in great condition. Right up there with Pound Ridge, Mansion Ridge, and Patriot Hills. Unlike those courses, the restaurant is closed on Mondays.
Pure Golf
The course is very special. Peek a boo views of Manhattan. Interesting and well designed by Seth Raynor. Must get out to enjoy this special track.
Good Course Just not For the Money
Course is solid and worth a play, but the cost is really hard to justify. Played midweek for $130 and it’s just hard to say it’s worth it when you have other great courses for less near by. No range, greens in great shape but slow, waters provided but they ran out on back nine and no cart girl seen after the 3rd hole. Some beautiful Seth raynor elements and fun holes that make it a great course, but overall the price really only is driven by proximity to NYC and the Raynor tag
Overall a good course. Interesting layout with a combo of long and short holes. Old time feel with course routing and bunkering. The course conditions were very good. A fun, interesting course. The only criticism is the price, which is about $30-$40 higher than it should be. I know golf has gotten expensive but there are plenty of courses, even in North Jersey that will give you a similar experience at a better price point.
Beautiful and classic
If you get the opportunity. Please put this track on your list of must plays. You will be tested on all levels of your game. Staff wonderful as well.
One of the Top public courses in the area
Played here 5 times in last few months and couldn't be happier with the overall experiences. Pace of play is good conditions seem to be getting even better as the season goes on and tee time availability is not unattainable. One of my favorites will be back again soon.
The Rock , Rocks
Great day. I took client's I rented brand new clubs for them @ at 55 bucks each bag lefty &. Righty . They left their old mix and match clubs in their garage where they belong.
The staff were great , we didn’t slow dn once all day & didn’t hold anyone up.
The steak dinner was great at the capital grill. The business relationship was deepened fun by all.
I made a great choice of clubs to play. I bagged Bally Owen and those over priced under kept courses I played well and so did my guests
I’d wait a few weeks, Buyer Beware
Greens were about as bad as possible. For the season being a week away. Greens were punched, not sanded and debris all over them. Tee boxes are temporary, so 1 marker per hole. Fairways were in good shape but for the price, I don’t think I would go back for a few weeks
Early season gem
Early in the season so course conditions were not yet up to par, but that was understandable.
Great options for juniors to play at a reduced rate
