The Golf Club at Middle Bay
About
The Golf Club at Middle Bay is located on Long Island's south shore overlooking the barrier islands of Jones Beach, Point Lookout, and Lido Beach. Nearly every hole looks out across water. Though the golf course is just an hour outside of New York City, you'll feel as though you've been whisked off to an out-of-town resort. The layout has a challenging design that will test your accuracy with tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Wind will also be a factor on this golf course. The Golf Club at Middle Bay is a tough but fair layout that players of all skill levels will enjoy. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range available.

Golfer Reviews
middle bay golf
excellent course conditions - very challenging undulating greens and tough pin placements. staff friendly and helpful.
had guest from Midwest who really enjoyed the water views and the course in general.
only minor complaint, it was hot and humid, and we only were serviced by cart girl once (in the front 9).
Ranger Needed
Considering the rain, the course was in excellent shape. Staff is very friendly and service oriented. But the 3:10 or later tee-time has become problematic not only because the days are getting shorter but because once the Ranger goes home, the back nine gets slowed by young and self-centered golfers who wait forever to hit under the delusion they are Rory McElroy and then they hit more than one ball each off the tee. Then they act indignant when they told to pick up the pace.
Overnight and morning rains led to delayed starts.
Not fair to review the course because everything g got packed together and backed up due to a delayed start. But inconsiderate jerks ahead of us taking mulligans on the 18th didn’t help.
Miiddle Bay
Excellent course, well worth the cost. Even though I belong to private club I will play again.
Private Club Experience on Public Course.
The pin placements are challenging but this course gives me the Florida golf experience without the Bermuda turf. They make you feel like a member here.
Faster round now with good condition
Played right after 3pm glad the round finished by 7:40. The pace could be brutally slow in the past but it was flowing nicely on Sunday evening without major sporting events.
Green runs decent. A bit fast then water messed up the speed a little. No other complaints. Balls still can fly from all over the place and the kids don’t even shout “fore” occasionally
Private club experience.
I always enjoy playing here because the layout comes closest to Florida courses where I play in the winter and it is maintained like a private club. The sand traps could actually contain sand rather than dirt.
Nice course, challenging layout
Easy to walk which I prefer, well maintained, greens were in very good shape
South Nassau Gem
Great layout on the Bay. One of the few public choices in the area. Fast greens. Course has some teeth when the wind is up..which is most days.
Stayed Open Despite The Weather
Middle Bay stayed open despite the rainy weather without restrictions. This kept a lot of golfers away which made for a great round of golf.
The Golf Club at Middle Bay
Hadn't played in a few years. They had that abandoned clubhouse and a trailer where you could pay and sign up.I was happy to see they now have a new clubhouse and it's a beautiful facility. The course was in great shape from tee to green. The greens were very fast and had some very interesting breaks that weren't easy to see. The course is challenging and has a lot of interesting holes, quite a few dog legs. There are also a number of holes where water comes into play. Middle Bay needs to be played strategically on many holes, but is forgiving and wide open on others. I love the course and encourage golfers to add it to their list of courses to play.
Garbage pails
The garbage pails on the course were over flowing I was There sat, Sunday The same Garbage was in the pail 24 hours later
