Pace of play
Awful 5.5 hours to play . 4 some played ahead of us , turns out they were part of a league . Why is a league going at 1 pm smh 🤦. Won’t be going back any time soon !
Coming back to an old Friend!
I hadn't played Mohansic GC in almost 30 years, so there was a lot that I don't remember about specific holes, but overall the course was in great shape. One (1) Par-3 green was a little crispy and aerated, hopefully that will mend with time. Also the #2 hole was closed as they offered a somehwhat challenging, uphill Par-3 as an alternative. Some of the tee boxes were a little tattered and rough, but not a huge deal. A great day to return to an old course that I thoroughly enjoyed
Hit them straight
Overall it was great day, however the issue is you had to many people walking which means it takes longer to golf ( 5.5 hours ) which makes me frustrated . I think you need more rangers to keep people moving along better as many people don’t manage where they leave the cart in reference to to where they are hitting and as a result caused slow play.
Always liked the course but 5 1/2 plus hour round is ridiculous. No rangers trying to speed it play!
Crazy slow !!!
Beautiful Course, but...
It's a beautiful course, really. But it is plagued by a "Muni Mindset". Too much waiting in the cart (I walked), for your partners to hit.
Grab two clubs and be ready. Staff could support this, but they don't. Easier said than done, but Bethpage and Suffolk County courses have done a good job of elevating play.
Again, love the course and it fantastic condition.
Great day at Mohansic
Very nice course. Good pace of play. Very forgiving course with wide fairways. Signed up as a single and paired with a 2-some earlier than my tee time. Appreciated that.
Don’t really care for so many blind shots off the tee.
Need Rangers
Our tee time was pushed back 40 minutes and it took almost 6 hours to finish the round. The starter was doing his best with no support. No rangers on the course maintaining pace of play. Yes it was Sunday so I understand it’s going to be busy. Cart girl would have made a killing selling to all the groups backed on the first tee if she was there. Play midweek if you can!
