Tranquilo Golf Club near Orlando, Fla. tops Power Rankings for week of June 8

For the second week in a row Tom Fazio's Tranquilo Golf Club at Four Seasons in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. finished atop the Golf Advisor Power Rankings.

Golf Advisor psusme1 has reviewed Tranquilo at Golf Advisor three times. "The course was in great condition, the greens were fast," he wrote in his initial review, dated May 17, 2015. "The course couldn't have been in much better shape. The staff treats you like Donald Trump from the time you pull up to the time you leave."

A certified Audubon sanctuary, Tranquilo features an Old Florida style, with live oaks throughout. Wildlife sightings are common. Following his June 13 round psusme1 wrote: "Saw deer, turkeys (and baby turkeys), herons, egrets, and many other birds. Great scenic course into the quietness of mother nature."

Bermuda's Port Royal Golf Club -- a Robert Trent Jones Sr. design renovated by Roger Rulewich in advance of the 2009 PGA Grand Slam of Golf -- also made a strong showing this week, finishing no. 2 overall and first atop the value rankings.

Similarly, the Golf Club of Estrella just west of Phoenix finished third overall and second in the value category.

Bermuda, contrary to the misconceptions of most people, isn't a Caribbean island. This tiny fish-hook-shaped British territory sits isolated in the middle of the Atlantic, off the coast of North Carolina. Bermuda is so cramped for space that none of its seven courses are regulation par 72s, yet several of them rank among the best in the world. Its five top combine to create a unique mix of experiences, from an exclusive private club to a professional tournament venue and a wildly scenic par 3.

Sewailo Golf Club, Notah Begay III/Ty Butler-design located at the Pascua Yaqui Tribe's Casino Del Sol Resort, is the first course to open in Tucson since the Golf Club at Dove Mountain, former home to the WGC-Accenture Match Play. Sewailo is more parkland than typical Arizona target golf, David R. Holland writes. It features multiple streams and creeks with four waterfalls designed to be as natural looking as possible, and is loaded with more than 30,000 plants and native flowers.
