Lovely mountain views
Unfortunately, we didn’t play as booked. When we arrived at the #1 tee, the starter had two young players (big hitters) paired with us. My wife and I are in our 70’s, and were expecting to play as a twosome.
Qualty and Pricing
My son and I wanted to golf while in Big Sky for vacation. This course is the only option (next time will drive to Bozeman).
$81 each for a weekday rate was expected. Almost worth it.
$116 each for the weekend was also expected and almost worth it.
The reason for wasting time on this review was the next weekday rate. This one was $126 for each of us (Tuesday). This is FUXXING ridiculous. I inquired why and was told because it was a busy day. Why not tell someone you make up the rate the 3rd time you play in 6 days? We found out at counter and just bent over at that point.
Next time we'll have our pro call Moonlight Basin or drive to Bozeman.
Before playing here, be sure you ask ahead for their random pricing.

DISAPPOINTED
Weird place. Very open and boring course. Greens could not have been slower and some should not have been open for play due to winter kill. And it was July 24th. Wend to get a scorecard out at the 2nd and the ones available were had been all wet so they were all stuck together. Was a good example of the maintenance they put into this course. Do not go out of your way to play here! Also do not reduce rate to walk.
Meh
Course was not in great condition, especially for Labor Day weekend. Fairways were shaggy. Lots of dry patches. Greens slow. The course layout was decent, besides the 3rd hole, which was a blind par 3. One of the worst holes I've ever played. I paid $47 and felt that was too much. However, scenery is great and the course is very walkable. Pace of play was good.
