Just ok
It is a work in progress. It will be nice when their construction is done and they can focus on cart paths. Greens hadn’t recovered from aeration yet so they didn’t roll very true.
Lots of Construction Happening
Lots of work being done on the creek, which will eventually be great but in the meantime a few holes are effected. Pace of play was super slow even for a Saturday afternoon (when it’s always expected to be a little slow.) Will probably wait until all the groundwork is done and return fall or next season.
Pretty Good
The Knolls was good. Grass on all of the greens, no bare spots. My only problem was how slow the greens were. Usually the public courses in Omaha have fast greens. Otherwise it was a great round.
Go play the Knolls
The Knoll’s is in the best shape I’ve ever seen! The greens are great and the fairways are plush. Way to go city of Omaha.
Challenging course
Course was in great shape—lots of puddles from rain but playable. Enough shade from trees was very helpful.
2nd time was worse
Front, desk guy was super short and snappy and when asked if I could tee off with another group, before I could even reply he raised his voice and asked “IS THAT NOT OK”. I brought a jug of water but it was about done by hole 6 cause it was pretty hot and my fault for not filling it up in the club house but there wasn’t a single water station on the course that had water in it…. Back peddle to after hole six, try not to blink an eye after 7 cause you will literally go to 10 & 11 from the layout. Inside the club house the amenities were sparse ( no NA beer, out of majority of candy bars and cooler must be kicking air at 25% cause the drinks were not much colder then room temp. Gave this course a second shot and prolly won’t be back even if it were cheaper… if Fox run had better greens they would reign supreme over this course cause they have them beat in every category and it’s half the cost I’d rather play there twice then here once truth be told. It was 10:28 tee time so maybe the guy was having a bad morning and maybe every single cooler hadn’t been filled a second time but I will not be back a third time.
Helpful staff
Really appreciated the Marshall telling the group in front to let us play through as a twosome. Had been waiting a long time and allowed us to enjoy our pace the rest of the round.
