Put on Water 9
When booking for 18 holes, there was no mention of playing half of those holes on the "Water 9." This course has 27 holes and the Water 9 is typically for those only playing 9 holes. I absolutely hate the Water 9 (after having played it only 1 time previously). The guest who played with me today also hated this 9 hole section and said that he would not play the Turkeyfoot course again. I see that when booking 9 holes on Golf Now at this course that they put you on the Water 9 as it states so right in the booking. That is why I won't play only 9 holes at this course. But the 18-hole booking does not state that.
The starter told us that the "cheap rate you get on Golf Now doesn't let you play on the "good course.""
Also, the clubhouse is very poor, and the bathrooms are nasty.

We were 10 minutes late , but the staff was still as friendly as could be. We got right on the Lake 9 and had it to ourselves. Pure heaven : )

Hidden gem
Wanted to play this course for years-when scrolling through Golf Now this course was listed-checked the reviews and played the 2nd and 3rd nines with my son.The course conditions were country club quality-tee boxes were very good-fairway and 2nd cut were manicured-sand traps were a pleasure to experience-saved the best for last-the greens (all) were like putting on a carpet-the staff went out of their way to accommodate us including a cart brought to our vehicle.Hilly was our first staff member to begin our visit-He’s Super-.the course isn’t long but just beautiful-the third 9 is on a peninsula around Portage Lakes-just a REAL treat for us-we loved our round-would strongly recommend Turkeyfoot-many thanks
Really good time playing the water 9 @ turkeyfoot front and back were busy they let us run the water nine twice and got our 18 in definitely will be back

Great experience.
Always a fun time playing golf here. A few of the pin placements slow the pace down and a couple bells would be useful for blind tee shots, but it doesn’t hamper your ability to have a good time here.
