Course was unplayable
The course should have been closed. It was so wet, that even if you hit the fairways it would just plug and disappear. Hole 12, the entire length of the hole was basically marsh land and ripped off.
Horrible pace of play
Took about 5 hours to play 18, pace of play is atrocious
Pace of play
Tee times every 5 minutes. Slowest pace of play I’ve ever played in this area.
Solid setup
Course in really good condition for July in Ohio. Only issue was slow league play it seemed from some regulars on a midday week.
Nice course. Friendly and accommodating staff.
First, the course was in very good condition. I played from the tips and it is still a short course. I knew that going in though. The staff was very friendly and professional. My only gripe was the SLOW greens! I feel like they keep them long to help with the summer heat. The greens were consistent though.I enjoyed my round so much Monday morning I went back Wednesday evening and snuck in another 9 holes.
Slow Play
Course was great despite all the rain this spring. Pace of play was horrendous. At one point there were 4 groups on the 15th tee.
Excellent Fall Golf
I didn't have too many expectations, as Fall golf usually means tons of leaves and lost balls, however, Cheonwith was in excellent shape. Fairways were cut nice and short, no leaves, at all!! Greens were fast on the front 9, the back 9 had been aerated already, so that slowed them up and made them bounce. We still thoroughly enjoyed our round. Will recommend this course, can't wait to come back at play it!!
