Brookside Golf Course

I lived in ashland for years and played this course all of the time. Haven't played it in about two years now but decided to give it a shot. It is way better than I have ever seen it! Greens actually roll well and the fairways are well kept! Great big deal price!

Poor course conditions; lose every ball not on fairway with unkept, unmowed rough; weeds sticking out of green and fringe;

Good course layout; could be an excellent place to play if course management and caretakers actually knew what they were doing with a golf course.

I recommend this course to all my friends.

Nothing special. A boring course layout

The course hosted a multi high school girls tournament which started about 8am. My tee time for 2 players was1045. Our pace of play was normal for the first six holes but slowed considerably after that. We consistently had to wait for for two or three foursomes in front of us.

We complained about the situation , to no avail. The assistant manager said that the tournament took priority . There was no offer of complimentary service or even of apology.

We played the front nine in 2:15 and the back nine in 3:25 ( ugh!!!)

Better than expected greens are A1 very fair course. Will play again very soon .

The staff at checkin were very friendly. I was paired with another golfer. The course was in great shape. It had a great practice range, putting green,chipping area, and driving range. The weather was great and pace of play was great. Started golfing at 12:00 and was finished by 3:00. Greens were in great shape and putted true but not real fast. I would definitely golf here again. A very enjoyable day.

Course was in excellent condition greens were rolling smooth and some what fast but nice to putt on. Fair ways were in great condition and a little rough to hit out of. My son had a hole in one on the par 3 14th 166 yards he hit a 7 iron. Great day to play golf.

All prior reviews gave this facility a5, so I was expecting more than I got. This is a very well maintained municipal course in Ashland, however, in my opinion, not worthy of a 5 rating. Most greens are slightly elevated, so you need to fly the ball to the green, not bounce it up.

Greens were relatively slower than most that I have played recently, possibly due to overnight rains.

Facility has a relatively small pro shop / clubhouse area. Staff was very friendly.

The course is worth playing, but a 3 rating is more appropriate in relation to other nearby courses one can visit.

The course has improved greatly under new superintendent of greens.
Greens much quicker, fairways lush, paved cart paths. Need some work on the sand bunkers but they are working on that.

Course was in great shape! Good design, challenging but also playable for any level golfer.

Brookside is a great golf course to play. Greens were in excellent condition, medium speed as well, very manageable putting. Overall condition of course and layout is great, I would recommend this course to anyone, is great place to play for the price.
