Fun course
No issues with pace of play, even on a busy Saturday. Course was in great shape and layout was fun to navigate. Will definitely be back!
Nice course... really fast greens
Enjoyed my round. Good balance of woods, water, tight, and open tee shots.
Really fun course!!
First time playing Dogwood. Short course from the tips but lots of a variety. Doglegs, water, bunkers all keep you on your toes. Really enjoyed this course! Exceptional Value for your money.
4/09
Fun short course. Fairways weren’t fully back yet which surprised me. Greens were still pure and bunkers were in outstanding condition. Great course get out and play it!
Great course
Loved the course. The fairways, fairway roughs, greens, and Rough around the greens were in great shape. Sand boxes were amazing as well!
Just fun
It’s a shorter course than I normally play, but what fun.
Great Value
Solid course with greens that roll true. Some tight fairways and interesting change of elevation shots. Definitely worth playing.
Excellent greens
8 of us played yesterday - even under dormant conditions this course is excellent. Greens were fast. Fairways were still good. Not a long course, but demands your attention.
Rude Staff
We love golfing in Bella Vista but the staff at Dogwood was very disappointing. Everyone at the other courses were very friendly and accommodating. The people at Dogwood on the other hand made us feel like they would have preferred that we were not even there. It started with the person at the pro shop when we checked in. He was very impatient with us when he was asking for our contact information as if we were taking too long to answer his questions. If you don't want to take the time to get the information then don't ask!! We also witnessed him being snotty when talking with the starter over the radio about the couple who checked in ahead of us because they showed up early for their tee time. Completely inappropriate. It continued with the starter. We had a group of 2 and a group of 4. He accused us of planning to team up with all 6 once we got out on the course. Really?!?! Anyone who loves to golf hates to play at that pace. We would have been fine with another twosome being grouped with us but they didn't offer that option. He also rushed us to the tee box 15 minutes before our tee time only for us to wait for the group ahead of us to get far enough down the fairway for us to tee off. The course is wonderful but the staff needs a lesson in customer service!!!
Fast greens but fairways still need to grow in
The greens were super fast! I've never seen a Bella Vista course with greens that rolled this fast. The fairways and rough still had sparse grass in a lot of areas. There were a lot of tight lies around the greens which made chipping very difficult. Otherwise everything was great. Once the grass turns from dormant to green and starts to fill in then this will be a good course.
Good fun layout with standard course conditions
The problem with Bella Vista golf courses is the chance you take in the course not being in great condition at the time. I find Dogwood Hills to be one of the better conditioned courses in Bella Vista, and if you catch it at the right time it can be in very good condition. It is a short fun course that will challenge you off the tee but is forgiving in other areas.
