Golf Club at Yankee Trace - Vintage Course
About
The Golf Club at Yankee Trace touts the title of "Dayton's best golf course" as well as being the top public course in the entire Miami Valley. The club has two courses, the nine-hole Vintage Course and the challenging 18-hole Championship Course. Both courses sprawl across lush, grassy meadows. The Vintage Course has a classic design that is player-friendly enough for beginner. For more advanced players, it is great for some quick practice or as a warm-up to the longer golf course. In addition to the 27 holes of golf, Yankee Trace also offers a bentgrass practice range. One of the main reasons the club has remained so popular since opening is the staff's commitment to providing country club atmosphere and service for the price of a public course.

A great course to play at
Staff is very nice. Course layout is a little tight for people that slice. Other than that Yankee golf course is a great place to play a round.
Course was in great shape
Played Heritage to Legends and the course was in great shape. Rough was tall so it's best to avoid it. Pace of play was on track for under 4 hours/18 holes. Slowed down around 15 or 16 but still finished in a little over 4 hours.
Should be renamed “Quagmire Links”
A nice walking course, but if you can’t walk, be aware that this course drains very poorly and is usually cart-paths-only. All year long there are spots in some fairways where a ball will plug. (Maddeningly, even if rain is certain, the sprinklers still will be working overtime.) As you might expect, MANY of the traps are better described as water hazards than sand traps, and it should be no surprise that place of play is usually quite slow.
Possibly the most frustrating aspect of these conditions is that city-owned Yankee Trace has no mortgage, and as much play as they want, but they choose to spend their millions on clubhouse expansion rather than the actual golf course. As a golfing resident of Centerville, it’s easy to feel our business is taken for granted.

Good shape for this time of year
Course was in pretty good shape for this time of year...bunkers could be cleaned up a bit though. Pace of play was decent. Only issue was the clubhouse had the wrong tee time for our group compared with what I booked on golfnow. Will definitely go back, always a good place to play.
Course looks great especially for the first time out this season!
Slow play
Course conditions were good , play was SLOW. We waited at every tee often with another group ahead of us. Never saw a ranger all day. No good reason it should take 5 hours to play here!
Fantastic experience
Yankee Trace is as close as you will get to a private club.
