Beaver Brook Country Club

Not bad at all of a layout. There are a couple of funky holes in which you stand on the tee box and say “where the heck does this go?” Besides that, it’s a very nice golf course. The greens are perhaps one of the most difficult you’ll play on for a public golf course within an hour of New York City. The view from the tee box on hole #4, is beautiful.

Worth the drive to play here, but not for $75.00. $55.00 (which I paid to play here) is more than fine.

First the good. Course was in good condition. A bit tough sometimes figuring out where some green would be should be better markings I think. Overall beautiful course in good condition.

The bad. Terrible pairing. The 2 we played with had terrible manners, rude, bad etiquette. The biggest issue was the starter. When we made the turn he made a snarky comment to keep up. We pointed out we were waiting on the group in front of us but the front still was about 2 hours and no groups behind us in site. That made him extra mad. Terrible manners. Played the whole round in just over 4 hours but told we see too slow.

Not sure I’d play again just due to the pairing and the jerk staff but it’s a nice course overall.

The course was OK considering the rains we had recently. However, the greens were pocketed with unrepaired ball marks. Rolled nice but very soft.. The facilities are second rate (fir golf) they have weddings upstairs, maybe that's better.. No cart girls/guys on course.

Loaded Friday tee sheet, 3 groups on each hole, they have these “ambassador” guys in carts stationed around the course but they didn’t seem to do anything about the pace of play. Clubhouse grill closed as well so that was a nice surprise when making the turn looking for a snack. Course conditions were probably the only highlight. Been here several times before, not coming back anytime soon after this round.

I was disappointed that your app did not ask for the golfers age. I am 67 and would have qualified for a senior rate. But since your app doesn’t allow you to enter your age, I had to pay full price. Not happy.

The course was in great shape. The pace of play was spot on, no wait at tee boxes. Overall a fun time to play.

My review:

We played a 2 hour front nine and Master Bates “The Ambassador!” said to pick it up cause we were we slow. Then followed us and starred at us like we were doing something wrong. Till one of us approached to give us space…. My mind now was off my game because of Master Bates“The Ambassador!”. We played a 4 hour round like a normal foursome would. Last time I play hear, looks like members only get treated well here. Master Bates “The Ambassador!” is a jerk!!!
