Not a course for high handicappers. Challenging course when playing from the blues . Greens rolled true and fairways compared to carpeting. You can tell they’re spending a lot of quality time improving this course.

Only played front nine, back was under water. The course played well considering the weather and the crew seemed to have everything in control.

Outstanding facility, friendly staff and great track. Back nine had some flooded areas due to heavy rains and rising river but can’t do much about Mother Nature. Can’t wait to get back there.

Overall this course is good, the conditions of the playing surface we’re excellent. Certainly a challenging course. The only 2 down falls were the lack of flow/poor labeling from hole to hole, and the cart path was very uneven and bumpy.

When you have groups in front of you who don't understand golf etiquette. When someone catches your group every T box, you should give them the courtesy to pass. Not take your turns and mulligans if needed. If it starts raining, don't hit extra balls. Now, the middle group is in trouble because the group behind them are being held up too. The third group tends to get impatient and starts hitting on the middle group who is still waiting for the first group. No winners when it comes to extremely slow play and lack of etiquette knowledge. Come on starter, advise these golfers. Macho men still let others pass. It's in the game.

First off, check in ProShop & Starter (Mike) are awesome with us return players. GolfNow offered great Hot Deals, and I always enjoy playing here at the discounted rates. Course is in good shape, even after a 30min rain delay, but it got so sticky. The new tee on #15 is a good change, but still a hard green to GiR & putt on. I had fun with two young guys paired with, and admire their lengthy iron launches. Between the humidity & grainy greens, their speed was slowed considerably --you still didn't want a down-hiller on any. Also, let me add the restaurant -Black River Tavern - is very good.

Excellent and challenging layout. Not for casual golfers. Course conditions much improved from last year. Greens are rolling nicely. Not too fast but a lot of undulations. Cart paths are gravel and needs to be paved for this course to charge what they do The bar and food are excellent.

Definitely a must play course in the greater Cleveland area. You won’t be disappointed. Just don’t come here expecting to use your driver a lot unless you’re playing from the back tees. Most holes play much easier if you just hit that 150 yard stick with your tee shot.

I loved golfing here! Definitely good for a challenge! Only thing is there is a lot of driving to get the the next hole sometimes, but no big deal, just a little odd of a set up but the staff was so friendly and very professional, loved the scenery and would definitely come back here and bring more people here!
